| said: Second visit to Playa de Muro Village and still excellent standards throughout. Arrived June 5 and stayed for 14 nights.
Going in school term time made for a very quiet time (we went in August last year). Large numbers of families with babies/toddlers and sometimes the restaurant became very noisy. Food generally excellent although our second week the menu was not as varied but the desserts are wonderful. Entertainment wasn’t bad although only about 10 people watching (perhaps Euro 2008 had something to do with it). I felt sorry for those putting all that effort in but it passed an hour. We only paid for a double room but were allocated a suite. (Although looking at the floor plans all the rooms seem to be suites). Very spacious, bedroom, separate living area with a fridge, patio doors off both bedroom and living room. Lovely large balcony. Bathroom spacious with a great shower. Stayed in 6426 last year and 6430 this time round. Balcony overlooks gardens this time but pool view from 6426.
The beach is fabulous, we spent all our time there rather than round the pool area which is quite shady. You do have to pay if you want a bed. It was 8 euros for 2 beds and an umbrella. The ‘pineapple man’ does his daily sales from the beach and for 4 euros you can sample the sweetest pineapple (or water melon and coconut), just what you need to refresh you. Lovely!
Drinks are expensive with your meals as we didn’t stay ‘all inclusive’ but you can get your own and stick them in the fridge from the supermarket over the road. Costs about 19 euros for a bottle of wine at dinner and 2 euros for coke or fanta etc. Choice for lunch if you are on half board isn’t great and for the buffet they charge 20 euros per person so we just bought baguettes, cheese, ham from the supermarket and had a cheap lunch on our balcony.
First Choice rep was lovely but didn’t have a clue! He was new to the job and admitted that he was a bit disorganised! We had taxi transfers arranged both to the hotel and back to the airport but nobody could tell us what time the taxi was picking us up to take back to airport but the rep came good in the end.
Weather was a bit unsettled for the first few days but then out came the sun and it was lovely.
Had another great holiday and would certainly go back to the Play de Muro Village.

| said: Had a fabulous time at the Playa de Muro Village.
Our room (6426) had a great view of the sea and pool and a very large balcony. Rooms kept immaculate. TV in bedroom and also in lounge area where our daughter slept. Great bathroom, huge sink, shower worked a treat. Fridge and kettle in room. Safe and pool towels provided but deposit of 15 euros per towel. We booked a late checkout room but had to move the block 1. Room still nice but situated facing the road (although the balcony looked onto gardens). Glad I wasn't there the fortnight.
Pool area was always kept tidy. We preferred the beach which was wonderful but did have to pay for the bed and umbrella (2.5 euros each I think). The 'Pineapple and Coconut' man used to travel up and down the beach, the pineapples were amazing so sweet and juicy. Did make us laugh when we saw the usual towel brigade down at 7.30 to reserve the beds. Usually beds available all day although the pool area is quite shady. Pool was actually colder than the sea.
Food was excellent we thought. Buffet restaurant at the Village seemed rather more calm than the one at the Hotel although you could use whichever you chose. We thought the food was excellent. Desserts were truely fantastic, lots of fresh fruit some I certainly didn't recognise. Fresh fish, meat on the grill, usually a roast and lots of salads, pasta, pizza etc. Loved it. We didn't go all inclusive as was considerably more. Hotel restaurant was available for late breakfast.
Didn't do any trips as we enjoy lazing on the beach. Few shops over the road, handy when you are half board. Busy road though.
Booked the VIP lounge at Palma Airport (30 euros) and worth every penny. Free food, drink and comfy chairs and peace and quiet. We were delayed 3+ hours.
Evening entertainment usual stuff. Some excellent tribute acts and usually finished by 10.30. Outside theatre so if it rains everyone has to squeeze inside. Not ideal.
Thoroughly relaxing time we had. Would definitely return. Very multi-national which is perhaps why the standards are so excellent (British in the minority.)
The staff are all extremely helpful and can speak more english than our spanish!
We had a problem with our balcony door not locking and after reporting to reception it was repaired within the hour.
Glad my older teenager didn't come with us, I think she would have been a bit bored as not much going on after 10.30 in the village but there were loads of younger children probably under 12 and the kids club entertainers had their hands full!
ENJOY! We couldn't fault it.
PS Don't be put off when you walk in to Reception. It is very minimal! Could do with a few plants or pictures on the wall.

| said: I have just returned from a week at the Playa De Muro Village and I had a lovely relaxing stay there.
The hotel is about 3km from the centre of Alcudia/Alcudia Port, in a quieter area close to the S'Albufera nature reserve (however there are still plenty of shops, restaurants and bars nearby). The hotel itself is right on the beach and we even had a partial sea view from our balcony.
The hotel and rooms were clean, modern and spacious. The outside areas were well maintained and nicely landscaped - the pool was a good size and there were plenty of sunbeds.
The food at the hotel was tasty and fresh, with plenty of choice for both breakfast and dinner.
All the staff were friendly and helpful. My only criticisms were the amount of Germans staying there (we were the only Brits!) and, particularly, the amount of Germans on cycling holidays; and the lack of entertainment - although we did go out of season, so that could by why.
You also get to use all facilities at the neighbouring Playa De Muro hotel, which is a bigger hotel, but in my opinion I would rather stay at the Playa De Muro Village as is it more recently modernised and a bit quieter.

| said: The hotel was as you would expect from a three star main chain hotel no more no less.
The maid service was as advertised with the room being adequately cleaned.
Location superb for during the day and the beach, the beach is probably the highlight as the pool is fairly heavily shaded. However perhaps a bit out of town for night time with a taxi or bus ride required to reach any decent quantity of shops and restaurants.
Hotel entertainment was however very poor and repetitive at night with the standards being poor even for a hotel chain.

| said: Great hotel and right on the beach, most of all we didnt get hassle of anyone. Food good, very clean and nice staff.
Lots of pubs and eat outs, 1 in particular is the rose and crown right across the road, great pub grub at a good price and the entertainment was a good laugh with dj dane from wigan!!
If you want to get away from the germans go there! Be warned of any "british" bars run by spanish and spanish staff who couldnt understand anything we said (george and dragon) if you like a long wait for cold food thats the place to be!
Apart from that a lovely resort and would go there again.

| said: The Dunas Park Apartments were excellent in every way. There was no fighting for sunbeds around the pool, although it was quite shady, so we opted for the sunbeds on the beach, which was directly behind the pool area. There was plenty of entertainment for children and adults and the staff were friendly and professional. The gardens were lovely and well looked after. The location of the apartments was good, as there was enough going on without the 'Blackpool' factor of nearby Alcudia. We found many great restaurants, the Boy, being a particularly good one. For English breakfast the George and Dragon was very good value for money, as it was also for 'fast food'

| said: Iberostar Dunas Park is a fantastic hotel with very high standards of staff, entertainment, food and cleanliness.Every has a smile and the time to stop and say hello.
The entertainment staff were superb and clearly work very hard and obviously enjoy their jobs very much to put in the hours they do.
The location was great as we had 2 children so we mixed the days by the pool and the beach as the beach was a minutes walk.
The one thing i would request is a room within the park as we backed onto the road which could be quite noisy at times but this didnt disturb us much and is the only thing that i would change.
We are looking at booking again next year and bringing extra family with us.

| said: For a family hotel with lots of little ones about, the grounds, hotel and pool area were immaculate. Daytime entertainment was based on a format we had seen before and if it's you're sort of thing, there is plenty to do through the day. I don't think I saw a miserable member of staff all week and the fresh carnations in the bathroom were a nice touch, as was the towel shaped like a swan. The food at the beach bar was a bit pricey compared to some of the restaurants but it was quite nice.
The food at the Rose & Crown (directly opposite) is fairly basic but it is good and pretty cheap. If you go there in the evening though, be prepared to wait.
If you don't like karaoke or quizzes, don't stay there late. The host only knows about 4/5 songs and he likes the sound of his own voice.
Other than the Rose, there is plenty of variety available a shortish walk to the right of the hotel as you come out of reception. The nearest Pizza Hut is a 7e taxi ride away, but that is the livelier part with a lot more shops and eateries. There is no Mcdonalds (but who cares).
Getting a sunbed with sun all day is a big problem.
There is just a bit too much shade around the pool for sun-worshippers, but the beach is good. 3.5e per day for a bed though.
Alcudia does have it's own water park, not as grand as those in Magaluf but there's enough there for a good day out. About 10e in a taxi.
All in all, it was a pretty good deal.

There was plenty to keep everyone occupied and many restaurants to choose from (close by). We recommend the George and Dragon for its lovely food. The Rose and Crown also deserves a visit. This hotel was particularly suitable for young children as it mainly accommodated families. We would not hesitate to return. I would recommend that you visit the Western Water Park in Magalluf. It was a fantastic day out for all. We shall definitely be going again. Wonderful weather, accommodation and food.

| said: The Dunas Park Aparthotel is in an exellent beachfront location. The apartments are spacious, clean and well equipt.
The staff are very helpful and the entertainments staff especially good, the show put on by themselves 5 nights a week(the other two were professional shows) were worth staying at the hotel for.
If you are looking for a late night party type holiday this one is not for you, it is a good half hour walk to where the action is but there are many good restaurants and bars just along the road. We had an excellent holiday and would not hesitate to go back to the Dunas Park.
