| said: My wife and I very recently stayed at the Prince La Dorada on a self catering basis when we arrived at the hotel we could not believe our eyes this hotel definitely deserves its 4+ rating.
The pool area is fantastic a choice of 3 pools, palm trees everywhere.
The room was also fantastic, air conditioning, satellite TV although the only channels you could get in English was CNN/Euro Sports.
Because we went very late in the season (2nd October) we found the hotel to be about 20% occupied which we found suited us.
The hotel entertainment was very poor but we put this down to the hotel being empty.
The location of the hotel is ideal literally 100 meters from one of the nicest part of beach, approx 2 miles from the centre of Alcudia.
Most of the staff were friendly and helpful especially the guys on reception.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone especially those with children. The family facilities and the kiddies club seemed excellent.
We are looking forward to going back in May 2005 we were so impressed. However, I hoped after I had brought the TV problem to their attention that they have extended their choice of English speaking channels on their Sky system.
Try it you will like it!

Echo all the comments above. Apartments very clean and spacious. Very good and safe for kiddies our 18month old had a ball. Every night there is a kiddies disco with prizegiving (sorry if this sounds like Butlins) but nothing like it - very entertaining. Our toddler was a bit apprehensive at first with "Froggy" . Froggy is the mascot of the hotel and joins in with the disco. Kiddies disco ran from 8pm - 9pm.
After the kiddies entertainment was always a show 9pm - 11ish and was very high standard most nights.
The only compliant I would have with the whole complex was the standard of the cot provided for our son. To put it mildly you get a better standard of in a Bagdad Orphanage. The Cot was a metal frame on castors with a plastic mattress every time he moved in his sleep the cot would move and wake him up.
All in all the holiday was a fantastic two weeks with no shortage of things to do. Our biggest problem since last year has been trying to find some place different to the same standard.

| said: I loved my one week staying at the Prinsotel La Dorada Hotel in Alcudia, Mallorca in June 2002. The employees are very kind, the hotel amenities are excellent, the breakfast is very nice, the apartments and the garden / pools are very clean and well conserved and the price is very good. I recommend this hotel to everyone that wishes to have a pleasant stay in Palma de Mallorca.
