| said: just arrived home today from Majorca ,this hotel said it had air conditioning ,well you would be cooler under a hand held fan from the pound shop .to call the room having air con is a joke we were sweating our socks off .
meal time was a joke we sat on both evening sittings after being moved from 8pm till 9.15pm slot to 6.45 pm to 7.45pm slot but most nights queued for 30 mins and then had to find a table which was a task as there we too many people in the hotel and had to wait for a free table, as they were 7 of us somethimes we had to get two tables and not always together .
the food was edible and had no problems with it at evening or breakfast .you are not given an alocated table for your stay as in most other hotels.
the pool area was over crowded the sun beds were close to all sides of the pool which made it hard to get in and out the pool , people always put towels on beds so you never got one yourself the pool water must not be ok because my famliy,s swimware went green in patches and was ruined. so don,t take anything which is new or your dont want ruining .
the entertainment at evening was a joke and to a poor standard , one night our last was a big screen on which people played games on the wii console , talk about a cheap night entertainment ,
the rooms were ok except for the lack of air con (you could rent a fan for your stay we were told but why should you when the hotel said it had air con ), but rooms were only bins emptyed , made beds and changed towels . never had new bed sheets in 10 days and they never cleaned floor .
overall we had an alright holiday ,the hotel is badly managed and would be a great hotel if someone could run it proper .
would not go there again .

This is our second visit to the Alcudia. We liked it so much last year and this is why we went again this year.
As ususal all the staff were very friendly and always on call. The phone in our room was faulty but this was sorted within 5 minutes of reporting it!
The bar staff are simply the best, always happy and freindly. The rooms could be a little better but at the end of the day this isn't a luxury hotel its a budget hotel.
The food is fine with plenty of choice, we had no complaints.
The location could not be better, just a 4 minute walk to the lovely beach and port area. So much better than the centre were all the other hotels are situated.
As for kids running around late at night....none when we went and none last year.
We will be returning again next year!

I am quite a picky person when it comes to food but all the food was discusting and all so greasy :( ! I ate soup the whole time I was there!
The staff are all so nice they could'nt be any nicer made friends with them all ( so sad to leave all of them ). The entertainment never looked any good so we went out everynight to the bellvue hotel which had fantastic entertainment!
The rooms were very basic and the walls were paper thin you could hear the people upstairs going to the toilet ( we blanked that out with music ) which the neighbours moaned at everyday !
The room was really clean and if you needed them towels and beds were always changed :)
I would definitely vistit the hotel again just would go self catering !

this hotel is terrible.
my bathroom was never cleaned once in two weeks it was covered in mould. the maid only gave us fresh bedding when i asked after 10days and i had to make the beds myself.my room was not cleaned once and i even borrowed the maids brush to sweep up myself.the balcony was too small for 4 people to sit on. the pool is far to small for all guests and is totally over crouded with sunbeds which are right on the edge of the pool. the entertainment is terrible, the mini disco starts at 8.30 so if you have the later dinner seating of 8pm the children miss it. the ques for dinner are aprox 20mins long only to then be greated with cold greasy food and nothing except chips for children.this hotel is not a 3 star and i would like to know who rated this hotel and when it was rated.
the only good point is that is only a short walk to the beach , other hotels for entertainment and other bars/restraunts for food.if at all possible changed your holiday booking now , dont suffer like we did.

For the price, the hotel is really good and thats why we are going again this year (2008)
The location couldn't be better set in the port area just a 5 minute walk to the lovely beach.
All the staff were very helpful at all times and answered any questions you might have.
Evening entertainment was fine, in fact we only ventured out one night to find different entertainment as we liked it at the hotel so much. The bar staff and waiters were fantastic and very freindly.
This hotel done for us and as I said, we are back there this year.

Couldn't fault the helpfulness of the staff at all. They where brilliant.
Entertainment was very good and varied each night. On the nights that there was specific entertainment brought in -the artists were excellent. I don't know how they managed to pay for such good artists considering the price of the holiday.
Food-plenty of choice both for breakfast and evening meal.Wine could be had for 5 euros a bottle and it was good wine!
The only downside was the noise of the road cleaning early in the morning from our side of the hotel.Other noise was from hotel guests at times - but that is inevitable with people wanting to enjoy themselves on holiday.
Overall - exceptional value for money.

The food OK but same most days. The rooms were cleaned OK and towels changed. We were down a musty old corridor, that was behind the bar cellar, so was noisy from the bar and enterainment also.
The big factor now we were next to the family from hell. No sleep most nights, and doors slamming all the time. The old couple on our otherside did not unpack at all, and moved.
We complained yes to the rep, and staff. They wanted to move us but we was leaving early on a all day trip...we wish we paid and went next door, as I had my plastic on me [my wife will back this up and its the truth ect].
We have complained to the travel company awaiting to here yet. But its not in next years brochure 2007.

| said: Hotel location is fantastic for the Harbour area of Alcudia, where loads of delicious eating places are located and pubs, Just a 2 minute stroll down a slight hill.
Room was small but cleaned daily to an acceptable level. We were put in a room on the roadside of the hotel hence on arrival at 5am could not sleep due to the heavy traffic noise outside which continued throughout the duration of the holiday.
Pool not nearly big enough for the size of the hotel and sunbeds cramped in like sardines. One plus though my seven year old son was never short of a friend to play with in the pool as it was always packed of children no chance of a leisurely swim without being splashed, kicked or jumped on by the older children.
Entertainment ok but after two nights we adventured out and found a great English pub called Comics where we had a great time with Marcus and the other holiday guests.
We went half board but wished we had gone self catering as there are so many restaurants and bars in the vicinity. The choice of food was very limited but of a reasonable quality so we decided to eat out most nights.
Would recommend this hotel as a base for good location but not if you intend staying in the hotel for all your holiday.

The food was passable, however on a few occasions we turned up at the dining room to find the door locked, when we did eventually get in the tables were not cleared. Also beware of some holidaymakers taking loads of fruit out of the dining room, and not leaving much for other diners. Hotel staff were always smiling and helpful. The kids loved the entertainment at night especially the magician. Location of the hotel was not too far from the beach, and reception staff were very helpful when it came to information on excursions.
The hotel was quite noisy at night due to kids running up and down the corridors.

Off again in a couple of weeks a large party of us this year. Cannot wait! The hotel is spotless and clean rooms cleaned every day and towels changed.
Food is excellent a lot of variety hot and cold even my six year old twins look forward to meal times. The location is great a couple of minutes from the beach and the port which is lovely for a walk on a evening.
There is a good English bar down the road called Comics which is good for a night out. The hotel staff are excellent especially Pablo and Raphael who make you feel really welcome. All the kids love Raphael. The entertaiment is pretty good too.
Cant wait to go back in a couple of weeks, the kids are so excited, the kids feel safe there and it is so relaxing.

We had been looking for a half board accommodation but were very glad we only had bed and breakfast, allowing us to try some of the excellent restaurants in the resort.
The pool area was clean and smart. We were particularly pleased because of the relaxing atmosphere in and around the hotel. It was nice and quiet, without many kids.
The bar staff were really nice and friendly and we were trying to learn some of the language with them. Be careful though... measures are not the same as at home. Two drinks was enough for me!
The reception staff were okay too.
The rooms were basic but clean and nice. Just what we would expect from a three start accommodation.

The room was very small compared to other hotels we have used with 3 single beds in a small double room.the room was cleaned every day and when we complained about a leaking shower head the repair man was there straight away.( as he was when our daughter locked herself in the poolside toilet!)
Great location for the port area which has loads of great eating places but the main road on one side of the hotel was quite noisey.
The food was of a good standard although the fish was full of bones, and i looked forward to my meals. The pool was too small for the number of people that used it and there was always a million towels on the sun beds reserving them.
I enjoyed the hotel and it was good for the price I paid but I got it very cheap on line. I might not have been so pleased if I had paid twice as much as some people had.
The entertianment was professional although not always very good and in two weeks wasnt repeated. The staff were all friendly and very helpful. I enjoyed my stay but I must say it all depends on what you are expecting in the room size stakes!
ps I found the bloke in the banana booze shop to be a rude and arrogant man who didnt want my custom because I chose to shop around for the best price because I was spending a considerable sum. no need to verbally abuse the english people for that!

The staff were excellent and were always very pleasant and cheerful. The entertainment is not London Palladium standards but always enough to keep entertained.
Bar prices are cheaper than outside for both food and drink. The only downfall was the pool is a bit small and sunbeds were reserved with military precision by a handfull of Scots families every morning.
The hotel is close to all of the facilities of the port area and a handfull of good Spainish bars are nearby if you look for them.

Upon our arrival the staff were really friendly and the reception area welcoming and clean. Check in was hassle free.
On reaching our room we were pleasantly surprised as we had requested a pool view and we had got a very large balcony overlooking the pool area.
Rooms were basic but clean. We found the food to be nice, well presented and varied and even the kids managed to eat well. The childrens entertainment staff were top class and really worked hard, the mini disco at 9 every night went down really well with my children.
We found all the staff to be very polite and friendly. We had a brilliant time in Alcudia and wouldn't hesitate to stay at this hotel again.
I feel it is more family orientated than a couple's hotel, but would not hesitate to recommend it to people with young children.

Once entering me my partner and 2 children one a baby of nearly 2 were cramed into a room which i thought was for 2 people all three beds were shoved together meaning my 14 year old son literally slept in the same bed as me and paul. My mother was next door. Our room was situated right on the main road so you can imagine the noise of the traffic.
When we got to palma airport it was atrocious we'd come on a late flight 3.30 am ,landing at the airport there was no coach for us we had to wait for 2 hours at the airport reps were no help either which realy annouyed us we were very tired we got to the hotel at 6.00am no chance of sleep that mornin with the screaming of children and the traffic.
We went to bed around 11 that night but we couldn,t sleep as the hotel had entertainment on. The entertainment finished around 12 but the noise didn,t die down till around 3 then we were woken again at 6 by kids runnin up and down the corridor.
The following day my son tried the pool it was so small and very busy no chance of a proper swim
The next 2 nights were the same as the first very noisey kids screaming the parents not careing what they were doing, by wednesday i was real tired we didn,t dare have a late night because of the noise in the hotel, we got to bed at 11, i was then woken at 12 then again at 1.30 then again at 3.30 i got up an told 2 small boys for runnin and screamin up and down while their parents were drunk in the bar, a member of staff came to me said very noisy yes he did nothin at all the noise carried on till 4 am i got 3 hours sleep as the traffic starts at 6 am, i reported it to the rep and i realised i wasn,t the only one complaining.
The noise was the same the rest of our stay.
As for the food it was never very warm,we didn,t each much at all, it was very greasy and the meat was realy fatty.
Personly i would not recomend this hotel to anyone how it got 3 stars i will never know, the food is rubbish the hotel is very noisy 24hrs a day the swimming pool is small and the staff are no help what so ever, the rooms are like sardine tins and full of ants and not very clean, good luck to anyone who stay there i wont ever be

The walls were very thin in the rooms, you could hear people talking, heels clicking on the floor even heard someone break wind! Hotel was not bad for the price we paid but the food was horrible.. you couldnt make a meal out of the choices that were given, we even had to pay for dinks with your meal even though we were half-board! We ate out a lot of the time. Not an ideal family hotel but okay for couples and singles. The hotel is only minutes from the beach.

Also equipped with shower room and luggage room so you could freshen up before the flight home. The food was of a good standard but very little variance in the menu, and the pool was a bit on the small side. Plenty of nooks and crannies to get some peace and a bit of shade, and very well located for the beach and the centre. No bugs or beasties!!
The staff were always approachable and friendly wasnt too busy when you checked in/out or wanted to exchange travellers cheques, loads of local information available.

Pool was small but still great, although does have tiny spash pool for the little ones. There was a pool side toilet which was filthy! The room was clean and tidy but way too small for a family of four. Wardrobe space was barely enough for two.
Food was good, well cooked but very biased towards the German taste which ok if you dont mind. Wouldve preferred some Spanish food. Fair selection of reasonable priced bar meals available for lunch.
Staff very friendly and helpful. Entertainment was mixed - some very good and others best forgotten!
The entertainment for the children was poorly advertised - was happening before you realised and our girls missed out.
