Overall we were happy with the apartments. Receptionists very helpful and spoke good english. Entertainment in the metropolis bar wasn't great but kids would enjoy it. | said: The appartments were clean but basic- but on a sun holiday what more do you want? Food in The Rugby Tavern and The Mucky Duck was lovely and the waitresses were very nice. Entertainment in the complex wasn't great but would be good for younger children. The supermarket on site has everything you want and fresh bread every day. We stayed in Pins Playa 1 which is on the beach which great. The pool is across the road in Pins Playa 2 although there is a small pool in Pins Playa 1. The tiles beside the pool were not as slippy as people were saying but care should be taken. The pool closes at 7pm which I felt was a bit early. A railway line runs at the back of Pins Playa 2 which can be loud. The girls in reception were very helpful as was the Budget Travel Rep Yvonne. If you want to go to Barcelona I would recommend you either get public transport or a taxi because the Barcelona by Day/Night is very expensive and the guide isnt very helpful. Overall this was a very good holiday an I certainly would come back here again.

| said: We stayed in Pins Playa in May 2008.
The apartment was basic and clean.
We had a lovely holiday but the pool area was extremely slippy. One of the days it rained all day as a result a spanish lady cracked her head wide open after slipping on the tiles right outside the complex and had to be taken by ambulance. two more ladies slipped and broke their arms. A small child slipped into the pool thank god there was a life guard watching and pulled him out.
I cant understand why anyone would lay tiles such as these they are disgraceful. I had read comments on this issue before I went but I could not believe how dangerous they really were.
The entertainment was terrible very boring very amateur even my two kids were bored they are 9yrs & 13yrs old.the staff were very nice and helpful and the food was lovely.
If you buy a bottle of water it costs €2.00.so just walk to the supermarket right outside same water 60c.

the metropolitan bar in the resort had no entertainment for 4 out of the first 7 days and increased the price of the drink on the 2nd day. the so called kids club was on for 1 hour some days and 2 hours on others and only took the first 8 kids that turned up.the whole area is tiled and was very slippy with no safety slip mats anywhere. children were regularly falling on them.

Apartments are basic but clean but you have to clean your own apartment and bring out your own rubbish but did not find this a problem. Found all staff in all areas very pleasant.May be a little bit quite for younger people teens or twenties We will go back there again as we had a great holiday one of the best locations I have ever been to

| said: When we first arrived, we were worried that the apartments were too basic and the location was isolated - but that soon changed!
The rooms are basic, but what do you expect for self catering?! Kettles and toasters have to be hired, but we didn't bother. The view was amazing, sitting on the balcony overlooking the beach was excellent!
The main room was air conditioned, but unfortunately the bedroom got a little stuffy. I wished the towels were changed more than once during our week stay, but it wasn't too much of a problem.
The staff were lovely at reception. We didn't see much of the entertainment as we prefer to visit the main resorts in the evening.
Although the apartments are not truly in Cambrils or Salou, the location was excellent for visiting other areas. The bus stops on the road outside Pins Playa go directly to Cambrils, Salou, Port Aventura and Aquopolis - all of which are great! They even go to barcelona, but we just couldn't fit it all in!
There is a supermarket and excellent bakery on site at Pins Playa, and a couple of nice bars serving good food if you prefer to visit British/Irish bars.

Apartment large, clean and just what youd need for a sun holiday. We had a lovely balcony, overlooking the pool, which was wonderful.
We were well looked after, in the Mucky Duck across the road, the staff were very helpful, and the food and drink was great.
The location of Pins Plays apartments is so handy to all amenities, the beach is practically on the door step, buses to take you on a number of day trips, just outside, There is a supermarket which you can get anything you want just downstairs, the day trips are wonderful, we went to Barcelona and Portuventura.
Would reccommend this accommadation to anyone, old or young, and Salou is great location, for a holiday.

| said: In 2006 I had the chance to go to Pins Playa11 on two occasions and in total this was our 4th visit there. The only complaint I ever had is the fact that there are no non-slip mats around the pool area which can be very slippy.
I found/find the staff in the Metropolis Bar and across the rd in the Mucky Duck fantastic. All are very good at their job and food in general is excellent value.
The nearby resorts of Portaventura and Aquapolis are a must for all ages.
I have always found the room service excellent and the very rare occasion they didnt turn up, a quick word down stairs and it was sorted out immediatly.
All in all I have no hesitation at all in recommending Pins Playa11 for an excellent family holiday and I'll be back again this year.
p.s. Book your own trips when you get there. Budget Travel charge a premium for what you can get yourself for a fraction of the price.

| said: We found the Pins Playa II excellent!
The apartments were spacious. Inside we had a dinner table with six chairs and outside in the balcony there was another table with four chairs.
It was great to have air conditioning as it got really hot towards the end of June and the beginning of July. We would have been lost without it.
The staff were very good and the few (small) problems we reported were dealt with immediately.
Entertainment in the hotel was nightly up to midnight and there was a good variety. The kids loved it. Only one night (Thursdays I think) was not suitable for the kids but other than that it was great.
I would definitely recommend this hotel for families.

Apts were clean and received towel & Linen change twice a week.
Found staff mixed. New life guard came on for 2nd week and she was overly strict.
Complex wise the pool was excellent - didnt like the bar and only visited it 1 night.
The Rugby Tavern beside us was best of food although the hotel Cambrils princess (2 mins walk away) had a great buffet on nightly. WOuld also recomment this hotel for nightly entertainment - while it was quite an older age group in the hotel most of the shows were excellent and it was a nice environment for the 2 kids.
Certainly plan to return these these apts again.

| said: We stayed for 2 weeks and we only had a towel change twice and a room clean once. You have to hire a cot for an infant which costs 5 a day so I had to let my 1 year old sleep in the bed with me because there was no way I was paying out 70. Since we went for the first week of the season there was no kids club so we had to provide all the entertainment for my children. The clown who came for the kids entertainment only arrived at close to 11pm which was very late.
The best part about this holiday was the Rugby Tavern the food the crack and especially the staff made it a great holiday.
I wouldn't recommend going to this place for the first week of the season but I'd say they'll get their act together in the coming weeks and we are planning to go back in October.

| said: We stayed in these apartments for 1 week. Our apartment was next to the main security door and everyone had to buzz in. This went on all day and night it was very annoying. The staff in reception were all we saw and were not overly friendly. Most people who arrived with us were so happy to be going home at the end of the week. The good points of these apartments were that we were on the beachfront. The swimming pool was absolutely freezing for the time of year and some children got a tummy bug after been in it.
The highlight of our stay was Port Aventura it was excellent. The entertainment was bad for the time of year i.e. a parrot show and an Elvis impersonator. I would not stay at these apartments again and would not recommend them to anyone.

The place itself is clean enough, but the big wheelie bins on the road that you have to use absolutely stinks. The streets are filthy.
The food in the metropolis bar is good and reasonable.
Stay clear of the bakery just out side the complex as you never get the right change. The happens too often to be a coincidence the same happens across the road at the rugby tavern where the service is dreadful.

The centre of Salou is 5 minutes away in a taxi or bus for a small fare. The apartments were lovely inside. The only thing which is different from any other apartments i have stayed in, is that you have to change your own sheets and take your own rubbish out.
Clean towels are left weekly and when you leave you have to leave the apartment clean and have your rubbish taken out before you get your deposit back. All in all had a brilliant holiday, apartments were great and i would highly recommend them.

Anyone going needs to bring a kettle and toaster as these are not provided. Rooms have a fridge freezer and mirco wave, two ring cooker and iron.
The kids did not like the kids club as its in a very small room.
Dont use new cloths on kids as they use poster paint which do not come out.

| said: These apartments are located midway between Salou and Cambrils and are ideal for a relaxing holiday. Our apartment block faced onto the beach (6 blocks in all - 2 face onto the beach; 4 across the street with railway track behind them) and it was lovely to waken in the morning to the sound of the waves. The biggest complaint was that the apartments were not cleaned once in the 3 weeks that we were there - sheets changed weekly; towels twice weekly. Also, you have to remove all rubbish from the apartment before you get your deposit returned.
Good supermarket immediately across from the apartments with plenty of variety. Local bars serve food - Rugby Tavern (below the apartments) provides a carryout service as well as eat in. Gaelic games shown in a couple of bar, all within 100m of the apartments.
The pool at the apartments is large but there was much "horsing around" by some of the older teenagers and this caused annoyance to many of the guests with younger children. The lifeguard did little to stop the messing. The area around the pool was very slippy when wet; quite dangerous actually.
Overall the apartments were ok. The location was superb, the weather was fine and the food and drink was much cheaper than at home. Recommended for families.
