Having visited this hotel 2 years ago and fully enjoyed it we decided to visit again. Here is what i thought this time:
Reception: checked in smoothly, staff very efficent and pleasant.
Rooms: Having asked for a low floor we were allocated our room on floor 10 which was ok for us. The rooms are spacious and have 2 seperate rooms. They have a fridge and a tv. The balconies are large and spacious. We did have a problem one night with noisy neighbours the walls are only thin and you can hear everything they are saying.I did complain and never heard another thing from them.
Food: The food was lovely. They do a fantastic sunday lunch. Not as much choice for kids this time which was a bit of a let down as my son is quite fussy. Also the chocies didnt seem to be as varied. Apart from this the food was nice. They do gala evenings which range from carvery to indian.
Pool: Having arrived at our hotel the first thing my son wanted to do was to buy an inflateable and go in the pool. Having bought the lilo we headed for the pool only to be told that they were not allowed. The miserable lifeguard would not even allow footballs only small balls are allowed. There is a very small sign stating this and only if you went close up to it would you notice. This dissapointed my son and having spoke to other people they felt the same.
Entertainment: During the first week of our holiday the weather was beautiful and all the entertainment was outside. You had the usual magican shows which arnt that good. The second week the weather turned for the worse and all the entertainment was taken inside, during the day they put on music quiz's and bingo which did get a bit tiresome.
Bar: The queues can get very busy and I do feel sorry for the staff as they work very long hours, the same has to be said for the catering staff.

Overall we did enjoy our stay but it was slightly spoilt by the lifeguard and the stag and hen parties. I would visit again but would maybe wait a few years to see if gets back to the standard of 2 years ago.

hotel was very clean apart from around the pool area, not enough bins.
the food im sorry to say was just ok, nothing fancy just ok food, leftovers from the meal before will probably be spot on, a let down really because last year it was fab.
no probs with the location, just 200 metres from the yellow brick road area & titanic pub just 50 metres away.
bar staff very good but work long hours, staff in the resturant (mad house)were always busy, maybe to busy to smile.
entertainment was just bingo, kids disco then a very spanish act.
i would go back to this hotel if it got back to be as good as last year as food was very good & staff were happier.

BAD!! food good. Hot plenty of choice there. Ten days never had same meal twice but ate out few times cant relax to eat hustle and bustle very noisey waiters with long faces.

Hotel caters for three other hotels so very very busy and isnt enjoyable at all !!!!!!!! one bar open at a time for the whole hotel and very long queing to get a drink a right shambles.

Kids running havoc everywere while there parents get drunk.

Rooms very dated and shabby bring your own towels they are disgusting dirty and black and fraying had to buy some.

Hotel staff very very ignorant and dont know how to smile. We were on the 25 floor and even had a couple of COCKROACHES up there.

Queuing up to reserve pool loungers and running out soon as doors open very funny shame on you if you was one VERY SAD cramped in like sardines round pool couldnt believe what we were seeing.

Would I visit hotel again? Not if it was Free!!!!!!!!

Firstly we did not have our room here. We were in the Flamingo Playa near by but our A/I offer was here, as was the Vistimar.

This is a puzzle because it wasn't bad, it just wasn't good. Pool too small no inflatables. No where near enough sun loungers. No other outdoor recreation, apart from little kids park. No where for kids to play footie or run around, needed this badly.

Food was okay, we never went hungry, never got impressed either. You could go hungry here, my son did twice so it was KFC & McD

Snack bar a disaster. There is not food all day. eg lunch 1.00 - 3.00, snacks 4.00 - 6.00 this is left over lunch & toasties. Other times it is just toasties.

The entertainers were lovely but did not entertain. This was a major problem, just not enough going on for both adults & kids. One or two good shows brought in, some terrible ones too.

It was very, very hot 37-42 but we had a car so drove in the afternoon.

Good choice of drinks & bar staff really nice, couple of Brits, Andy & Paul were helpful.

Karaoke twice a week got monotonous.

I found Benidorm to have come very expensive.

hotel was fab really enjoyed our stay, very friendly atmosphere and the hygiene was second to none. The location is ideal for the nightlife and also far enough away from the noise as the hotel is situated in a residential area.my wife and me took three children on holiday with us so it was important we took the benefit of all inclusive,I can honestly say that the food and selection were excellent. We never recommend our holiday hotels to friends incase they do not like them but on this occasion we would not hesitate, the hotel ,location, food, and staff were top notch and we will be back.

My family and I saved hard all year for this holiday, only to be really disappointed when we arrived. It went from bad to worse, starting with a delay at the airport for 4hours.

We arrived at the hotel at 23.30 hoping to get a snack as we were all inclusive, but we ended up having to go out of the hotel to get something as there was nothing left at the hotel, which should have been going on 24 hours.

The hotel was quite clean, the maids came in everyday, but you had to chase after them most days to get clean towels and toilet rolls.

The food was very repetative and not the greatest taste, plus you would have lads sitting drunk at breakfast after they had been out drinking all night.

We had to leave the hotel most afternoons and nights, as the hotel had allowed large groups of lads to stay for stag weekends etc. These groups ruined our holiday, being loud, drunk, and very abusive, throwing furniture about everywhere, even injuring a child, who had to go to hospital. The police had to be called most nights.

Very disappointing holiday, never again.

arrived at hotel about 11.30 pm.no problem with check in.reception staff very nice.when we booked the holiday we requested a low floor we were delighted to get the second floor. the sitting room was large, bedroom was fine you also have a small kitchen but no kettle, a normal size fridge ideal. the biggest surprise was the size of the veranda just huge.the bathroom had only one problem the shower is over the bath and is very slippy, take a cheap nonslip bath mat. now for the important bits.food, the hotel caters for mainly uk guests and i can honestly say the choice and quality was so good.food was always hot and well cooked.fish dishes included salmon, lemon sole, cod, hake.the sunday roast beef was cooked to perfection.plenty of salads and fresh fruit, and of course a range of desserts.the bar staff always pleasant.as to the quality of the drinks the red wine was o.k but the brandy was the worst i have ever had in spain.if you like sangria try mixing it with a cointreau.only stayed one night to see the entertainment it was very good.there was plenty of sun loungers available but that could be because of the time of year.cleaning staff did a great job hotel and rooms kept spotless.having stayed in quite a few AI hotels in spain this one rates as one of the better ones

Hi all just returned from a week all inclusive from this hotel , well here is the truth 20/05/08

This was our 4th visit to Benidorm of course we knew what to expect and we didnt have to venture out as such to look around - in other words we knew were all the bars , pubs , cafes etc etc are. so we chose to go all inclusive as we had on 3 other occasions before, but with another company.

Arrival : great, you are dropped right at the door with a 15yrd walk to reception, you are given a coloured wrist band to wear for your duration, we had asked for a low floor due to the kids ,but we were given floor 11 , the hotel has 25 floors , which might sound low but when you get up there the drop is very daunting , please keep your children supervised whilst on the balcony..

Room : consists of a very small kitchenette with fridge a few cupboards & a wardrobe ?
bedrooms spacious with 2 beds a wardrobe ,balcony doors .
the main living room has 2 beds a table ,tv & a unit , 2 balcony doors , very nice & spacious.

Food : you might think for an all inclusive hotel they would of had more choice of dishes on the menu , ok most of the clients were British so there was always a dish to suit ,but after a few days it was becoming boring , chips for kids , always a fish dish , salads galore , I must say the roast beef on Sunday was to die for carved infront of you by the main chef mmm. if you have children then the best meal of the day was breeky sausage , egg, bacon , beans etc etc . and for later on at night - well forget it .... toasties ans thats it .
Drink : appeared watered down , try this then when you get there , ask for a bacardi straight no ice , that is not bacardi or even tastes like a local version !!
All the other spirits are local too , beer cruzcampo on draught is drinkable but again you try this when your in town and compare . you have to pay for drinks after 12 midnight or you can pay for named drinks at any time , there is a bar outside rodeo bar which opens early normally 2 staff man this round shaped bar , the problem we had was empty plastic glasses everywhere ,and if the wind gets up ... well .

Location : on a steady climb up a hill from the main bars and nightlife , the climb is made easier from the chain of shops and bars on the way , one bar the titanic is good excellent staff and food & drink .

Hotel staff : in general very good , but they must go and learn how to smile.

Entertainment : bingo every night , 25 euro a line - 180 a house , usually a kids disco or a show , followed by more music , a indoor smoking room , a tv lounge , a internet kiosk , arcade for the kids, the main hall is big ,but get your seats early , the kids had a great time running around and making friends , but beware , kids can operate lifts , mine didnt , but other children using the main lifts to play , dangerous !!!

Overall: as I said earlier this hotel has a long way to go compared with the other operating chains offering all inclusive deals in Benidorm , I think we will be using the ones we are used to in the future , sad but I had good hopes for this busy hotel.

the truth .

Had a great time at this hotel.Cleanliness was excellent and the hard working staff were great, only downside were the maids hogging the lifts at certain times of the day.

Food was especially good catering mainly for the Brits, they do a great sunday lunch and the staff were very friendly, maybe some people just don't try to talk to them, can't really comment on the entertainment as we were out every evening but we heard no complaints from other guests we spoke to.

Would I visit this hotel again? Definitely !

Stayed for ten nights with wife and moter in law, rooms were dated but comfortable, there were clean towels and bed linnen each day.

Food was very good, also the drinks were good for AI. Only real gripe was the dinning room staff were so abrupt and miserable they almost turned the food off, but dont let this put you off.

This is an exellent Hotel for a family holiday.

Arrived back from this hotel three days ago after ten days all inclusive.

Hotel was very clean, cleaning staff cleaned the room, changed the sheets and gave us fresh towels on a daily basis. Rooms are great but a little dated. We were on the 22nd floor and the view from the huge balcony was fantastic.

Poolside was very busy but we always managed to find 5 sun loungers together, the layout and location of the pool was excellent as it gets the sun from 10am all the way through untill 5-6pm. Around the pool the warmer it gets a really strong smell of stagnent water/sewage hangs around the air which was very off putting.

Hotel food was ok, plenty of choice for everyone, i can assure you will not go hungry at this hotel. Drink was also very good, i had read alot of stories that the drink was watered down but that is just complete rubbish. My only complaint with regrads to the drink is having to drink out of plastic cups all the time. I can see the point during the day by the pool, but at night time in the bar?

If i was to go back to benidorm (which i probably will) it will be to this hotel.

hi me and my partner returned back from the FB last week and had a truly amazing time!! didnt want to come home....

the hotel is spotless with lovely cleaning staff always cleaning away each morning early on and throughout the day. the room was fab not been to a AI before with the room being a actual apartment we had a kitchen, bedroom, bathroom with shower and hair dryer, lounge with tv and sofa's and a huge balcony. and a little hall way with lots of mirrors.

the food was brill , really something for anyone you could not go hungry it was 3* food but was very nice and plenty of choice.

the drink was ace!! the been cruzcampo or something like that, it was a nice beer. there was cocktails and all sorts. also we fancied vodka and red bull one night and they were avail at a charge of course!! but v cheap!

the location was good not right on top of the bars open to the small hours and we liked the walk down to the square and the beach front usually to walk off the big breakfast we had had or dinner...

the pool side is a bit over crowded on the first morning I had to queue to get us a sunbed!! but after that it was fine as long as you don't leave it after 9.30am ;)

we have friends in the costa blanca so we were picked up and taken to moriara for the night which is always lovely and then they brought us back.

we stayed on thr 25th floor v scary!! but ace views of the mountains I ask so a better room just via email to the hotel as they said the higher up the better and we got the top floor so that was lovely of them we thought. no fee to do this either !!

the entertainment for the kids was v good we had no children with us and went out most night but the entertainment we saw was good, what you would expect from a 3 *

the bar men were not the happiest but hay I was on my holidays ... that's didnt bother us as they do work v v long hours

only grumble was we fancied going on a trip or two and we never once saw our XL rep??? on arrival, throughout the holiday or pick up??? never had that before so didnt bother with trips.

the beach was lovely we went for the day it was really hot.

overall had a ace time and would return again , wish I was back there now , i have never been so relaxed is what i well we went for :( everything was brilliant .

My partner and i have just returned from two weeks at the Flamingo Benidorm and both wish we were still there. This is our 2nd all inclusive holiday to Benidorm but our 1st visit to this hotel.

The Flamingo Benidorm was excellent value for money. Our room was great, they are apartments with a seperate lounge, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom. The room also had air con,TV and Hairdryer. The maid was in every day to make the beds, clean and leave clean towels with the sheets being changed once a week. We were on the 25th floor(top) definalty not good for anyone suffering with vertigo or problems with heights. This was not a problem for us and the views over benidorm were fantastic!! The hotel was clean throughout and the staff were lovely.

The pool area could get a bit crowded at times but was clean and we did not have a problem getting sunbeds each day. The food was great, loads to choose from daily with a delicious sunday roast. The snacks were not up to much but we always left each meal feeling so bloated from eating to much that we were never bothered about a snack. As much alcohol, soft drinks, ice lollies as you like!!

The hotel is about 10 mins walk to all the mains bars etc and just a bit further to the beach.

We went to the Benidorm Palace. The show was fantastic and would definatly recommend it. It cost 27 euros each and this includes the show and one free drink per person.

We both had a fantastic holiday and thought the hotel overall was great. We will definalty being going back there again!!

A review of our week at the Flamingo Benidorm.

Reception - Nice and clean, staff were efficient during check in but not overly cheerful, thats to be expected i suppose! They were much friendlier during the week when no check ins were happening.

Bars - 2 bars (1 inside closed during the day 1 poolside, well staffed and quick to serve, but not very friendly until later on in the evening after the tips have been going in their bucket!! (There is supposed to be a 3rd bar, in the Barberella disco, but the disco was not open during our stay, i dont know if it is open during peak times or not)

Resturant - Food is plentyful with lots of choice and served good and hot. The staff work incredibly hard but seemed to have completely forgotten how to smile no matter how polite or chatty you are with them.

Pool - NO LIFEGUARD on duty when we were here (September), I dont know if this is the case during the kids summer holidays, although there were still a good handful of kids here during our stay. Nowhere near enough sunbeds available around the pool for the amount of rooms in this hotel during peak times. Bit of a problem with empty cups littering around pool even though there were bins available.

Housekeeping staff - Work really hard and are by far the friendliest staff in the hotel.

Lifts - 4 lifts in total 2 each for odd and even floors. One slight problem is that on the room floors there is no indicator as to where the lift is 1st, 2nd, 3rd floor etc. so if you are on a high floor (27 in total) you may have a long wait for a lift as you cant tell where it is!

Entertainment - The entertainment during the day is the usual fare, archery, pool, water polo etc etc. The evening entertainment is also the usual fare, karaoke, bingo, kids disco with some half decent shows thrown in. Also available is rooms showing sporting events, football, f1, rugby etc, and there is internet available at a charge.

Rooms - Now i have saved the worst till last!!! The rooms are looking really tired and tatty and are in desperate need of a refurbishment. But possibly worst of all is the complete lack of soundproofing between the rooms. You can literaly hear every word of a normally spoken conversation in the next room!!

Overall - This is a 3 star hotel, if you come here and keep this in mind you will enjoy yourself, dont expext 5 star luxury for 3 star money. Personally i would return here if the soundproofing in the rooms was sorted.

This is my first time to this hotel and to Benidorm, but my friend has been here before.

I found the Hotel very good, the food was varied and tasted nice.

The only problem I had with this Hotel was having to get up really early to get sunbeds, not enough to go round. People reserve their beds with towels and don't return for a few hours. Bit of advice if this happens, just wait a couple of hours and if they still haven't returned to the bed just take the towel off and move the bed. No one says anything and if they do just tell them it is Hotel policy not to reserve beds.

Also check when kids holidays are, unlike me and my friend who were single with no kids, and didn't know the kids were off school. Can get very overrun by children, and especially at night in the town. June is probably a bit quiet, would recommend July or September. Weather is great if not a bit chilly at night.

Overall I would recommend this Hotel to anyone families or single people.

We stayed for two weeks from 19 May.

Staff are efficient, but some are not very pleasant.

I have given 5 for cleanliness, for hotel in general, but area around pool was littered with plastic/paper cups which had either blown away or just left lying about, some of which were half full with beer/spirits, which any young child could pick up and drink with disastrous consequences. I blame the guests for this as a notice asks guests to put litter in bins provided.

Not enough sun beds or chairs in pool area or sun terrace. We bought two air beds for 6 euro each, so did not have to go down and TRY to get sun bed before 9.15.

Entertainment is not too bad for AI.

Food is very good and varied. I am a fussy eater, but could still find something different every day for lunch and dinner.

Drink. Lager not to my taste as I'm a beer drinker, and drunk mostly vod/coke which is only 24% proof, but just drink more if not strong enough for you.

Rooms are OK, but if you like your cup of tea first thing, take a kettle and mugs as although it says there is a kitchen there are no utensils whatsoever.

Overall good value for money.

This was my second visit to this Hotel and little if anything had changed since my last visit.

Public areas are clean & spacious, and the two television rooms one of which was no smoking were great if you wanted to catch a sporting event as they showed Sky Sports. Bar staff were fast if a little inpersonal, and entertainment girls throw in the odd daytime quiz or sporting competition outside. Night time shows very poor unless you are stoned and want to make an arse of yourself on the karaoke.

Bedrooms are large (lounge & bedroom), but a little dated and run down but still suffice.

Out door area is large, split on two levels. The poolside has an outside bar (summertime) and the upper level for sitting and sunbathing.

The dining room was reasonably good, always found a table, but often had to join a queue for the meals but not a real problem as they moved along steadily. Food overal was very good, always a good choice and always well cooked.

On our last couple of days the hotel got to be rather rowdy and a security guard was posted in the bar to keep an eye on things.

This hotel is great value for money, and if you are prepared to accept the rough edges that some of the guests introduce you can not really go wrong here.

I can accept it and will be back in June.

Excellent value for money. Accomodation good. Seperate bedroom and large living area with sat tv and all home channels. Maid service very good.

Food ok except skinny chips with every meal. Full english breakfast, and tables always available due to hard working staff. Smoking allowed in certain areas.

The bar staff very friendly, in particular John. Location is about ten minute walk to main club areas. Hotel has a night club which was closed during our visit due to staff holidays we were told.

Been to Benidorm many times before and would use this hotel again. Maybe not in the main season though.

The hotel was kept very clean and tidy at most times and the room was kept spotless. The food was mostly ok always something to choose but the Xmas dinner wasn't great but the newyear meal made up for it.

The entertainment staff were great with my 5 year old who became a bit of a groupie.

Group of 8 went to this hotel, we had 4 apartments which was great for the space. We were on the 17th and 18th Floors.

For what we paid, this hotel was fantastic, food was great and we certainly made full use of the all inclusive option with the drink too.

Unfortunately all drinks were served in plastic glasses, even coffee! but we didnt let that worry us.

Rooms were clean, you could hire a kettle for the kitchen, but there were no other utensils in it! All in all we had a fab time and really enjoyed our 5 day break from hubbies and kids.

Great hotel the food was fantastic which is very unusal for all inclusive. The drink however is watered down which is disappointing and defeats the purpose as all you do is drink more.

The rooms are ok clean and have air con and sat TV which is ideal for the kids as there are cartoon channels. The entertain is pretty standard for all inclusive and the location of the hotel is ideal if you like to be close the action but not too close.

I would definately recommend this hotel to anyone especially if you have kids.

Very nice hotel wasnt sure what to expect from Benidorm but we all enjoyed the place a lot.

Hotel is in a real good place if you want to be away from the central noise of the town, but not too far away to be a pain to get there.

Food was really good I loved the Mexican night and the Irish stew they did 1 day was excellent.

I will be going back here. The weather for the week was almost constant sunshine.

This hotel is fantastic. We stayed for 10nights all inclusive in September. Everyone is so friendly and helpful.

There is never a dull moment at this hotel from archery and table tennis competitions in the morning to water polo in the afternoon. Night time entertainment could be better though. Bingo everynight which is really good money but quite expensive to play.

The food was really good I have never eaten so much in my life you get brakfast 8.30-10.30 snacks 12-1 dinner 2-4 snacks 5-6 tea 6.30-9.30 then snack again 11-12 the catering work so hard they all deserve medals.

Pool gets very busy so get there early if you want a sunlounger.

All in all this hotel is great and we are going back in Aug 2008. If you are looking for a fun, value for money holiday then this hotel is for you.

Just back so thought i would file my report, having heard good reviews about the hotel we were not dissapointed the rooms seem clean enough and quite big we were on 21st floor so good views 4 lifts could some times be a bit hectic but not too bad. pool area there was usually quite a few plastic cups left lying round the place but they were always cleaned up at the end of the day. restaurant was always clean as you were finishing the staff were there cleaning plates and resetting tables.

The food was fantastic having stayed in a few all inclusives this place was the tops the head waiter must be english as lot of the food was to english standard they have show cooking on every night which ranges from chinese to indian plenty of choice and of a very high standard. always manage to find somewhere to sit quite easily.

the location is just set far back enough from the main drag and i would say is roughly a 10 minute walk.

The staff were great but then things changed on the 4th night some mindless idiots decided to start throwing stuff of the balcony i.e. eggs, icecubes from roughly the 22 floor while people were watching the entertainment below at night bearing in mind there were alot of kids and babies about and these items came down with some force. a couple of people were hit the 1st night, second night in again the same happened, althogh we had being told the people responsible had being chucked out of hotel. third night a warning from thr entertainment team that if found the idiots resonsible would be prosecuted alot of good that did same again when reported to reception we were told that the guest were not their responsibilitie and we would have to call the police ourselves which somebody did to no avail. that was our last night there and we noticed they were moving all the equipment inside for that night. I feel a bit more could have being done by the staff and alot more helpful taking nothing away from the hotel the idiots that were throwing stuff of the balcony probably ruined alot of peoples views on the hotel and reccomendations.

Entertainent mostly ruined by people throwing stuff off balconies and one of the shows not turning up at all.

Booked this hotel because of the reviews we read on here, have to say we were not disappointed. We emailed the hotel to ask for a high floor, we got 23rd floor with stunning views. Hotel and room were spotless, towels changed daily and sheets changed midweek.

The pool area did get very untidy during the afternoon, even though there were plenty of bins around, we didn't spend much time around the pool as you would need to be there very early to get yourself a spot. The bar staff seemed friendly enough to us, however we did spot a couple of them being a bit cross with children at the bar.

The food was excellent, we felt we couldnt have asked for better.
The drink was good, cruzcampo lager was nice, sangria was lovely as was the red wine, my only gripe was drinking from plastic beakers. All in all we had a great time and will definitely be returning to this hotel.

This is the third time we have stayed here as we love the location.

The food and the apartment style rooms. We have always found it to be extremely clean and the food is excellent, even for us picky ones!

The location is just far enough away from the lively bars, although we do tend to have a wonder outside after dinner.

The only downsides we have had in the past are the bar staff's attitude and the unsupervised children that play football inside and on the patio sitting area, also playing on the lifts which isn't very funny when you're on the 23rd floor with not a parent in sight. However this year we found that the hotel had opened it's doors to other hotels for meals which made it extremely busy at meal times. Not content with cramping the dining room these people also spent all day around the pool, leaving the people that had paid to stay here not being able to sit or lay anywhere near the pool. This did get our goats!!!!

Back a week from this hotel and took a while to reflect. We arrived and got checked in and proceeded up to our second floor rooms which were spotless, with a bedroom, living room and kitchen it gave us the space we wanted as we had a little one toddling about. Unfortunately as mentioned people thought it great to throw stuff down onto the roof which encouraged pigeons and we had 3 or 4 of them every night on the balcony.

The food though was great, always something to eat and the bar b q burgers were yummy. Our kids ate more in the 2 weeks than they do in a month back home and the sangria in the restaurant is lovely. And Denis came round talking to all the kids and singing in some cases. The drinks varied from bar to bar i guess it depended on who was pouring, but after a few days we found we could order cocktails as part of the AI and stuck with them.

The entertainment we though to be a bit mixed, the activities for the kids were very good for my 12 year old and she was always popping away to do something my 8 year old took part in the bingo or the TV room when they put a video on. At night we always came down for the bingo and then the kids disco time and Sarah and Keeley were great with the kids. What spoilt it for us towards the end of the holiday was the lack of control some people took over there kids they just let them do whatever they wanted, we had footballs bounce off our table and bouncy balls too and at one point had water sprayed on us by one little boy who's parents just watched.

The pool area wasn't too good for us, there were plenty of beds or seats but if you could squeeze a bed in then they did you couldnt walk through some places never mind get a buggy through and the amount of scowles we got trying to get the buggy out made us feel uncomfortable about going back, people had beds right up to the pool then they left there inflatables on the pool edge with sometimes up to 4 boats,3 rings and numerous li lows and some water polo games going on so sometimes it was really hard to get in the pool with the baby as we tried the baby pool but thee were li lows in there and some of the older boys played in there not thinking about the babies. The pool area was pretty grotty come lunchtime and no one came to clean it till about 6ish so flip flops a must.

The staff again were mixed the ladies on reception were always helpful if required, most of the bar staff looked bored and scowled even dropping tips in there tin didn't make a difference. The best was Dennis in the restaurant he was great, our little one looked for him each time and if he was on he would come over and spent time talking to him and one evening we had a birthday and Dennis brought over champagne for the table which made it even nicer.

Main part of the hotel, beware of changing money at this hotel, as we tried it once as sheilas was a bit of a walk for some in our party and never again, we got 132 euros for £100 travellers cheque, we got no receipt so we couldnt question it and after that we did go back to sheila's but cashed enough to do us and we only needed to go down there twice. And my 12 year old got her purse stolen at the Internet section, a bit of naivety on her part and 50 euros gone which really upset her, but we made it up to her.

Would we go to this hotel again? probably not. If the hotel had staff that supervised the pool which i have seen in other hotels also if there was more control at night of the kids and they weren't allowed to run riot then maybe yes i would return to this hotel.

We stayed in this hotel in may2005 so we decided to go back again this year as we liked it so much, what a difference a year makes.

First of all I would like to say the food is very good and the all inclusive drinks were not too bad.

We were on the 14th floor and the room could really have done with a bit of decorating. The bath tap came away in my hand and the bath was in a bit of a state.

The pool area is no where big enough for the size of the hotel which can also be used by 4 other hotels as well. There were not enough parasols round the pool either. We used to go up to the terrace to sunbathe as you could not get anywhere near the pool for sunbeds.

As for the pool you were lucky if you could get anywhere to swim as it was very crowded.I dont think some of the people there new what a bin was as the mess was a disgrace especially round the kids pool where there were cigarette ends just thrown on the floor.

The staff were ok,I would like to mention the Irish chap in the restaraunt as he was very polite and always spoke to you.

As for some of the kids who were there,a minority of them were very rude,I think there parents just let them run wild there were even 2 teenage girls fighting in the evening.

I think the management could have been a little bit more stricter by keeping an eye out for some of the things that went on.i.e.throwing cola at each other in the lounge.
We had to go out of the hotel at night so as to have a drink in quieter surroundings.

I cant see us ever going back to this hotel again unless it goes back to the standards it used to have.Ive read some people say that this hotel should be a 4 star, well it just makes it to a 3 star in my opinion.

Stayed here in July 2006, asked for lower floors when booking the hotel, was given second floor, they say all rooms over looking the pool, we could only see the corner of the pool as we was looking out onto the extensions roof top. During the stay there there were lots of rubbish gathering on the roof top, as some of the people staying there would throw things out over the balcony.

The pool is a nice size, but you need to get your sunbeds early.

Food is very nice and with a good choice, beer in hotel is not too bad, not a lot to say about spirits!!

John the barman he is good with people, watch for his squirty bottle, Jimmy well he is just looks fed up all the time.

I found that night time around Benidorm, was so repetitive, not only are the acts in the clubs the same every night, they are also word for word. Cafe Benidorm is about the best club on there, real spirits here not like in hotel. I found that the price is not no different as to back home, but you get more in your glass.

Terra Mitika is a must but be ready to do some walking from one ride to the next, Aqualandia water park is a big rip off, not just the charge to get in, can cost you an extra 12 euros when you do get in.

We went for a week and found the room to be dirty and smelling of the previous occupant’s cigarettes. Bedding also smelt.

The food was Spanish canteen type and not to a high standard, though the menu was broad, there was lots of it, and the food was always hot.

The pool area in our opinion smelt of beer and became messy and nobody seemed to clear anything up until the end of the day. There was however a good number of sun beds, and chairs.

All drinks were served in plastic beakers be it wine or beer.

Overall the hotel was not to our liking, however if you like a working men’s club environment with loads of kid’s running around, and lot’s of free drinks you’ll love it.

In fairness many people return year on year, we’ll certainly choose the opposite.

We arrived at the hotel late on in the evening, and were checked in straight away with no problem!

The hotel was very clean. Every morning when we went down for breakfast there was always about a dozen cleaners grafting away, so that at first sight was good!

Fresh towels everyday, apart from the day we were going home, we took on an extra room as we had a late flight home at 23 euros. We had the room until 5pm obviously for getting showered to be nice and fresh for going home, but the nasty spanish reception lady would not give us towels as the 23 euros we payed for the room did not cover cleaning expences so she could'nt give out towels!! However, luckily the laughs on you woman!, we met some nice people from wales, they gave us their towels and they got new ones! ha!

Hotel food was very good, being a chef myself I thought the food would be quite basic, but that was not the case. There was always a good choice, two soups everyday, four or five main courses, sometimes more, loads and loads of sweets and theme nights every other night. The head chef is English, so thats always a reassuring thought for a lot of British holiday makers! The breakfasts were good. Again a good choice, the full fry up, or the continental.

Hotel location was alright, we had our daughter of 3 months, and our nephew of 5 1/2 months with us, so we had buggies too push around. It's on the top of a steady climb, but its not too far from the centre, about 600-800 meters.

The hotel staff were very friendly, apart from the receptionist. Most of the bar staff were nice enough and had a smile on their faces all day. The entertainers Keelay and Sarah were very plesant, good with the kids (and adults)

Entertainment was good, the hypnotyst is rubbish though. However, you get bingo everynight and kids disco, circus acts, kareoke, stuff like that.

I would stay at this hotel again.

Just back from this hotel and were very pleased. On arrival check-in was very prompt, perhaps staff could be a little more pleasent and apart from one the rest spoke little to none English.

Once in the room we discovered that the walls are like tissue paper-at one point I wasnt sure if the guy snoring in the room next door was in the bed beside me!!!!

The food was very good, a very good range, from a full English in the morning, a big main meal at lunch and dinner with various themed nights going on in between-there was always something for everyone.

The pool area was again nice but the only day we seemed to get a sunbed was a Saturday as this seemed to be the day that most people went home!!Unfortunatley there was not enough sun beds for everyone, now as this didnt bother us as we put our towels on the grass, we said nothing-so perhaps if we had we could of got more???-but by looks of the vultures waiting from 9am to get them at 9.30am-who would know!!!

The pool area got very cluttered with rubbish-I can only assume from the heavy all inclusive drinkers that couldnt make it to the bins-it did get very untidy-something I have never come across before-cups, lolly wrappers just seemed to be thrown down-but thanks to a good team of staff it was always spotless the next morning-just felt sorry for the effort they put in every night.

All in all, very good, hotel very clean, good variety of food, good location, only about 15-20 mins dander to main promemade-but be warned that on the way back it is up a gradual incline-but a pleasent stroll.

This was the first my hubby and I went all inclusive, and nothing to the hotel but dont think I would try all inclusive again -a lot of heavy drinking due to the "free bar"!!!-which sometimes meant quite a racket in the evening when they decided to make there way back to the rooms-I know this can happen anywhere-but just the sight of people sitting in the same spot for two weeks drinking solid-certainly is a tough one!!!!

Very enjoyable hotel and fabulous spot-Im sure anyone who has stayed here will agree.

This hotel was excellent and the food was outstanding, theme nights nearly every night i.e. we had an indian, a mexican and a chinese night, again this was outstanding and plenty of it.

Dennis the head waiter was ever so helpful as were the other members of the resteraunt staff . The bar staff made you anything that took your fancy, and the measures were extra large, Manola was the head barman he always had a smile for you then there was John the only English barman he was always dour and never had a smile for anybody.

A major dissapointment for me was the adult only bar with Ray and Eve was not opened during my stay,as the last time I stayed here I spent most of my evenings in there.

Benidorm's great if you like shoes, bags, and leather jackets. Shopaholics beware.

Good entertainment outside as well, my favourite was the Golden Last Public House first Ibrox bar NOT to be confused with the Ibrox bar you were made feel very welcome by the owners Ian and Liv, the beer was of a good quality (no upset stomach the next day), as was the music, there is also a ten pin bowling ring next to the waxworks it is very reasonably priced at 4 euros about £2.80 a game this includes shoe hire, there are also loads of crazy putting courses to spend your time on.

To conclude this is my second time at this hotel and it will not be my last!

We have just returned from this holiday (29/3/06). We found the hotel good overall.

It is set about 15 mins from the beach and about 10 mins to the night life.

The rooms were quite large but badly in need of refurbishment, but were cleaned on a daily basis with towel changes. The bedroom walls though are very thin however, our neighbours were considerate and quiet, some others were not so lucky though.

The food was very good with excellent variety.

All the staff here were pleasant, with Dennis the catering manager always helpful and on the ball with situations.

The drinks from the bar are served in plastic cups for outside use, these tended to blow around the terrace area if not put into the bins provided, this is more an issue for the people who leave them about though. The bar staff were polite and a strict queueing system is operated for drinks, this worked really well.

Overall we had a great time, the weather was great for the time of the year, we met some lovely people.

The local taxis are very efficient, it costs 5 euros to travel from the hotel to the night life, some of the drivers took a less than direct route though.

Our stay here was good on the whole, the rooms are apartments and are very clean and spacious. The food could not be faulted, and the service in the restaraunt first class.Although the location to some may be a problem due to being on a hill we found it to be OK.

The staff at the hotel were great, nothing was too much trouble for them, and the bar staff were brilliant!Entertainment was good too.

We found it rather strange that the wardrobe was in the kitchen (yes the kitchen) but there was a small wardrobe in the bedroom too, and the walls were so thin you could hear everything from next door and upstairs.

We found this hotel to be far too noisy for us, also the maid rang the doorbell and came in even if you had the "do not disturb" notice on the door. Because of the noise, and the unruly behaviour of a lot of the other guests, we will not visit this hotel again.

For anyone thinking that they can make a cup of tea/coffee because there's a kithchen...be warned, everything has been disconected, there is a 'fridge though, so take a travel kettle with you!

This is our second stay at this hotel, so therefore, I would highly recommend this hotel.

We stayed for 4 nights all inclusive, and booked through med hotels.

The hotel is about a 15 minute walk from the beach, and is in a perfect location, just out of the way of the noise.

The hotel staff are very friendly, and the maids changed our towels and made the beds every day.

The rooms are very clean and each have a massive balcony, all facing towards the beach. They have a small kitchen with a sink, hob, and fridge, and the bathroom is also spotless.

The entertainment is not that exiting, however, its still ok, they have the likes of magicians, parrot shows, acrobats, singers etc.

Overall this is a very good hotel and there is a wide variety of good food and drink for everyone, and as this is my second visit to this hotel, I would definitely recommend it to anyone reading this.

I booked this holiday for my daughter, friend and myself for 3 nights as we felt we needed the break after Christmas. I have never fancied Benidorm but my parents love it so when I saw this offer ai £119 I thought well let's go.

The hotel is spotless and the maids work around the clock to keep it like that. Rooms were like your own apartment with bedroom, kitchen, bathroom and lounge ideal for a couple with two young children.

Two lifts accommodated the even floors and two for the odd numbered floors. Maids were in each day with fresh towels etc...

Food well what can I say ...plenty of choice and the standards of the food were second to none. Desserts well there was at least 8 different sweets not including ice-creams or fresh fruit, delicious they all were. There were theme nights every night eg Mexican, Italian etc as well as normal dishes. The chef also was in attendance to serve you with his specialties. If anybody couldn't find something to eat every meal they must be very very fussy. I wonder what they must eat at home....

We were on the 17th floor and what a view we had. You also have a balcony which covers the length of your bedroom and lounge. You could have your own party on it.

The entertainment was quite good and we never went out of the hotel at night.

I was amazed at the way people were downing the drinks as this hotel's alcohol tasted just as bad as any other AI hotel I have been to (disgusting).

We all felt we got a great deal and we are looking for another to go back in the next few weeks.

The food in the Flamingo was very good, a good selection to choose from at all meal times.

Must be the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in. Maids worked really hard and were very frienly.

The hotel is a fair walk from the beach but close to good bars and shops.

Staff were all great. They all worked really hard.

Entertainment was OK most nights. One act in particular was terrible. They were called comic.com has to be the worst act I have seen in my life.

I would definately use this hotel again.

My fiancee and I have just returned from a fantastic 5 night holiday at the Flamingo Benidorm hotel. We stayed there Mon 10 Oct-Sat 15 Oct 2005.

Before I review the hotel I would just like to recommend both APS (Car park in Manchester) and Shuttle Direct (transfers to and from Alicante airport). Both companies provided an extremely efficient service that we would extremely recommend and will definitely be using again in the very near future. Anyway, onto the hotel!

CHECK-IN….We arrived at the Flamingo Benidorm at around 9pm and were quickly checked-in. We were given our key, our blue all inclusive wristband and a card giving details of restaurant meal times. At the time of booking we requested a low floor, we were given the 6th floor which out of 25 floors is quite low! There are 4 lifts in the hotel, 2 for even floors and 2 for odd numbered floors. Waiting times for lifts were approx a minute or so at most except for once or twice at busy meal times when waiting was a few minutes.

ROOM….The hotel was formerly apartments so rooms here are quite spacious and have good facilities. All rooms overlook the pool. As you enter your room you have a kitchen on your left. Kitchen includes; cooker, microwave, fridge, cupboards, sink, iron, ironing board and plenty of utensils such as cutlery, pans, plates etc. On your right is the bathroom. Bathroom includes; sink, toilet, bath and shower, shaver point, hairdryer. In front you have two doors, the left is to the lounge and the right is the bedroom. Lounge includes; table and chairs with hotel info provided on table, sofa bed, coffee table, cupboards and shelving, tv with sky channels (news, Channel 5, Sky Sports etc). Bedroom includes; two beds together, bedside drawers, large double wardrobe with plenty of hangers and safety deposit box. Both the lounge and bedroom have patio doors leading onto the large balcony. The balcony has table and chairs and adjustable washing line and is very spacious, the balcony overlooks the pool. The room had air conditioning and heating. The maid cleaned the room every day after 11am, tidying, making beds etc bathroom towels were only changed if you left them on the floor so as to save on unnecessary cleaning. The room was very clean and had everything you would need and more, it was spacious and comfortable.

HOTEL….The hotel is lovely inside. Reception is 24 hour, telephones are available as are pc’s with internet access. There is a tv room and another room that is adults only where guests played cards, watched dvd’s, read etc. The hotel was absolutely spotless throughout our stay, it was packed with guests all the time but the hotel never suffered. It is situated at the back of Benidorm in the centre at the Levante end. It is almost parallel with the Flamingo Oasis. It is only a 5 minute walk to the square and is close to shops, bars and other hotels. It is on a steady incline from the beach. On the left of the hotel is a dirt path which is a bit of a short cut to the square, it is known as ‘muggers alley’. It is fine walking there during the day but I would avoid it at night as it is dark and has no lighting, it is beside bushes and wasteland and I was told gypsy’s live nearby. We never noticed anyone there but avoided it as we would have back home in England. The hotel is situated well in a quiet area surrounded by hotels, shops and bars and only 5 minutes walk to the ‘action’. I would recommend the Titanic bar across road from the hotel and the Sun Terrace bar. If like me you end up having a few late nights and miss breakfast then get yourself down to the Sun terrace bar, they do a gorgeous large full English for 4 euros!! Mmmmmmmmm!!!

FOOD….The restaurant is situated on the bottom floor of the hotel. Outside is a daily menu showing what food is on for lunch and dinner. It is a large restaurant that is kept spotless by the hard working waiting staff who always manage to have a smile on their faces. A bar is in the middle of the restaurant so get your drinks before you go for your meal. The food is very nice. I have stayed at the Flamingo Oasis hotel and would say that the food isn’t on a par with that hotel BUT it was far better than the 3* Magic/Amigos all inclusive hotels. It was cooked and presented perfectly and was always hot. Breakfast was served from around 8am-10:30am, then snacks were served, then lunch was 12:30-3:30pm, snacks, dinner was 7:00pm-9:30pm followed by snacks again.

Breakfast we only had once due to the late nights but it was very nice. Everything was available; full English, toast, juices, tea/coffee, English cereal, cold meats, ketchup/sauces etc. We arrived for breakfast late at around 10am but their was still quite a queue for food, maybe everyone gets up late!! If like me you end up having a few late nights and miss breakfast then get yourself down to the Sun terrace bar which is across from the hotel next to the Titanic bar, they do a gorgeous large full English for 4 euros!! Mmmmmmmmm!!!

Snacks were quite disappointing. At the Flamingo Oasis hotel snacks consisted of a wide and varied selection of foods but here they are quite limited. There are one or two dishes left over from lunch or dinner and basically salads/cold meats and toasties. We didn’t really need snacks though as we filled up at main meal times although a more varied choice would have been appreciated.

Lunch consisted of 5 or 6 different main meals along with vegetables, chips, potatoes, salads, meats, fresh rolls etc
Dinner was the best. Again their were 5 or so main meals on offer but also a theme night was on every night. These were nice. The theme nights food was cooked in the centre of the restaurant at the show cooking section which had a chef who cooked and served you. Theme nights included; Italian night with freshly cooked pastas and range of sauces, fresh pizza. Indian night with Naan breads, chicken kebabs on skewers, assorted curries and rice. Chinese night with spring rolls, prawn toast, etc. On our final evening a Gala meal was the theme, a romantic meal. This was very nice as the chef was serving freshly cooked and carved Pork. It was absolutely gorgeous, the carvings were around an inch thick!!! I think I went back for seconds and thirds!! Meals in the evening were always best and the show cooking was very nice.

Outside BBQ. One of the days, by the pool, the small BBQ hut was opened. This served hamburgers and hotdogs with ketchup, onions and mustard! Mmmmm very tasty whilst sunbathing!

Overall, the food was always very nice, cooked properly and served hot. Sometimes choice let it down a little but then maybe we have been spoilt at other hotels.
POOL….The outdoor pool was of a large rectangular shape with a small kids pool beside it. The pool was cold at first but nice once in! It could get busy at times and full of lilo’s and balls! The pool was clean. Plenty of sun loungers, chairs, tables, umbrellas were available and their was plenty of room for spaces. The area was kept tidy with plenty of bins around. An outdoor toilet would have been better rather than walking through the hotel all the time! Their was a poolside bar but this was only open twice during our stay. Their was also a BBQ hut which was open once during our stay, this provided tasty burgers and hotdogs. I would imagine both the bar and BBQ are open far more during the summer. Their was also a playground for kids.

BARS & ENTERTAINMENT….there are two main bars in the hotel (excluding the outdoor poolside bar and restaurant bar). One is downstairs near the restaurant, this is classed as the hotel night club. It obviously plays music and is more concentrated on Karaoke. The main bar is in the centre of the hotel. It is a large bar with hundreds of seats and a large stage area. This area got very busy at night after dinner but we always found a seat…just!! It could get very smoky though.

The good thing about the hotel is that unlike some other all inclusive hotels is you can get as many drinks as you wish at the bar, others only allow 2 per guest. What’s on offer? Cruzcampo lager, all manner of spirits (locally produced), soft drinks, tea, coffee, cocktails etc Basically they have any drink you could ask for except they’re the Spanish versions. They give very generous portions and they do get you on your way after a while!! A cup of crisps always goes down well too, these were always available. The bar is generally busy but the bar staff ensure a constant flow so you are only ever waiting a minute or two except at 12 midnight when everyone goes for last orders!!! The bar staff are very friendly and fun and will make you any drink you wish if you advise them. The main seating area is very large and there is also an outside seating area on the outer terrace, this is quieter and is very nice to sit there on a warm evening.

Entertainment is quite varied. Every evening kicks off with bingo, prizes are generally 50-100 euros a line and between 250-550 euros for the house. I was 1 number away from 550 euros one evening!!! Kids entertainment is also on. The entertainment staff work hard. A couple of quizzes and performers including singers, magician/illusionists etc. It is quite varied and is of decent quality.

STAFF….All staff were superb during our stay. Reception was always available (24hr) and very helpful. Bar staff were fast, friendly and fun. Restaurant staff were very hard working and kept the place clean and always had a smile. Maids were friendly and did a good job although watch out for them ringing your door bell and entering your room around 11am to clean your room, they don’t wait for a response so if you’ve just got out of the shower….beware!!!!

So overall, we were very impressed with the Flamingo Benidorm hotel. Everything combined to ensure us of a great, relaxing and enjoyable holiday.

We would definitely return and are already looking at a week there in May next year.

We stayed at the Flamingo Benidorm the last week in Spetember, and to say it was the best hotel we ever stayed in is an understatement.

We were meant to be half board but upgraded to All Inclusive when we saw the quality of the food. It was fantastic and the waiting staff were superb especially Dennis who always went out of his way to speak to everyone. The show cooking was unreal and when the chef sliced the beef or pork for a meal it was without exagerrating 1/2 inch thick. If you go try out his ommlettes that he makes while you stand there waiting they were fab.

Cleansliness: We found the whole place spotless our room was cleaned with clean towels every day by a maid that smiled and sang while cleaning, all communal areas were spotless as well.

Location: I cant believe anyone thinks this hotel is out of the way I found it slightly on the outskirts but the hotel is that good that you dont want to leave anyway.

We found the staff very helpful actually going out of there way to help. The entertainment was very very good and without a doubt we would go again tommorow.

The Hotel is perfect in every way.

The restaurant being excellent.

The only thing that spoilt our holiday was that you have to vacate your room by 11.00am and if your flight is not until later in the day you have to leave your luggage in a room near reception.

Some of our bags were stolen from this room, totally destroying any happy memories we may have brought home with us. Be very careful what you leave in the luggage room as it is not attended. An unforgivable lapse in security that puts a huge blemish on what could be a perfect hotel.

First time we have been on all inclusive and was very nice not to keep dipping into purse every five minutes.

Food was very good and wide choice, only managed lunch twice as youare still full from big brekky! Pool area was very crowded and there were no beds until around 4pm when temps were much more pleasant. However it would have been nice to have a bed earlier in the day. Also only one position on beds made it hard work reading or sunning your back.

Area was quiet and far enough from beach for the walk back in the heat.

There were mainly younger children at the hotel so not so many older kids for our daughter to buddy up with.

On the whole a good hotel but spoilt by some holiday makers leaving a disgusting mess at the end of the day for the poor staff to clean up,what must they think of us Brits!

Only booked this hotel going by reviews as my First Choice was the Flamingo Oasis but after reading the good reports opted for this one. I can only say I was disappointed by my choice.

The hotel is definitely a lot further than 800mts to the beach and the entertainment was limited at the hotel.

We never saw the disco for adults which was supposed to go on until 2am and asked several people they couldn't find it either!!

The food was good and plenty of it but the rooms although cleaned were in need of refurbishment.

The staff on the whole were friendly except for one man at pool bar and Claire on reception.

Been on lots of all inclusive h
