We arrived in a very hot Benidorm. Got dropped of by shuttle direct at the bottom of a very steep hill, when we climbed to the top found the hotel looked very nice the entrance was very grand and main reception staff freindly. Got to room which was down a very tight corridor. Room was not big enough for two adults and two children the usual two single beds pushed toghther and two camp beds but all toghther making it almost impossible to manouver around the room. Asked to be moved which we where the next day. This room was slightly larger with three beds and a cot (which my seven year old son found funny). Food was ok but got repetative more for the spanish to choose( they seemed to be a them and us choice) Rest of the complex was good but like others say not a four star. Staff could tell you more as it was a case of find out yourself. There is a free bus that takes you to the beach the 31(Red ticket from reception)green ticket to town but does not stop outside of hotel stops right down hill one. The 31 stops opposite burger king which is not that far from main bit anyway.

We looked forward to visiting this 4 star hotel but were extremely disapointed by the simple fact on arrival we were dumped at the bottom of 800m hill walk with all our luggage. For 2 weeks we watched everyone arrive the same way and not once did the hotel mini bus move from the car park to collect anyone. The hotel was a four star ground floor reception with one star rooms. The carpets in the hallways were stained and the hallway blinds allways closed so you cant see the building work at the back.(that wasnt mentioned)

we paid extra for a pool view only to find out every room has the pool view(if you call looking over a rooftop and then the car park a pool view

we made the most of our break but wont be back

Great hotel..food brill..staff very helpful...hotel clean.
Hill very steep would not be any good for someone with walking problems.
Building work going on around the hotel.
Coach drops off at the bottom off the hill, and had to walk all the way up it with bags,(very hard work),would not go up to the hotel to drop us off, because of the work that is going on around the hotel.

Upon arriving at the hotel, the entrance is really lovely and booking in was quick and easy, the staff being very professional and polite.

HOTEL FOOD
We stayed for 2 nights from Thursday and came home today. We were there in time for Thursday lunch which wasn't that great to be honest. Thursday evening meals were awful, no variety as such, you couldn't put a meal together, too many fish dishes. My mum who is allergic to fish was really disappointed as every starter was fish (as it was on the 4 meals we ate in there). The main meals were two dishes of fish. Thursday night was turkey in this jelly stuff and two fish dishes all swimming in a lot of fat.
Breakfasts were nice but DO NOT EAT THE SAUSAGES, they fry them in a fryer and therefore the middle is RAW. I told the chef about it and even though she agreed they were not taken away.

HOTEL ROOMS
The rooms were okay, the bathroom very small that you can't fit on the toilet properly as the sink shelf is right in the way so it was rather awkward. Nice white clean towels though. Shelf needs to be put up in the bathroom so you can put your products on it for ease. Needs a socket near to the mirror so you can do your hair in front of it. Had to unplug the fridge whilst my sister and I did our hair.

The hotel walls are extremely thin and you can hear everything in the next room. It's best to get a top floor as the continuous scraping of the chairs above and to the side of you and the closing and opening of the wardrobes is VERY loud. You can even hear people if they are just walking around in their room with soft shoes on.

HOTEL LOCATION
The hotel is up a hill but I knew this before booking up and you can get free bus tickets from reception to take you into town.

THE POOL
Really lovely, very cold though, outside area nice and clean.

ENTERTAINMENT
Cannot comment on this as we didn't see any as we were doing other stuff.

This is a lovely hotel with an impressive reception area, nice rooms, not huge, but everything there and spotlessly clean. The rooms were cleaned each day and beds made.
The location is slightly out of town which suited us and we walked down(and up)each day and the "hills" are not a problem to anyone with a reasonable fitness level(15 minutes walk).Reception will give free bus tickets to town if needed.
The meals were nice with a variety each day .Our fussy kids found something at each meal.
The entertainment is geared for Spanish guests but they did have some good shows(we saw Snakes of Fire!!!). There are some good family bars 10 minutes walk away.I would recommend this hotel and would visit again.

We went on a couples holiday and were impressed with this hotel as was quite cheap. The rooms were average size, air conditioned and cleaned every day. This is also popular hotel for the spanish. No trouble getting a sunbed at anytime of the day which was great. Hotel food was ok enjoyed breakfast as huge selection however dinners were a bit repetitive. The only fault was the location was up steep incline so taxis were a must at the end of the night. Love Benidorm though there is something for everyone. Would go back to this hotel

On 5/1/06 we had a look on the easy jet site to see if there was a 4/5 day 'cheapie' for the following week in Benidorm. Within 10 minutes I'd found and booked a short break (10-14th Jan 06) for £126.00 Half board at Pam Beach.

We arrived quite late but the chef had left us a meal of salad with about 8 slices of different meats, bottled water(sin gas) rolls , butter and help yourselves to ice cream and fruit-great! We'd taken a kettle just in case as it seems that only self catering places provide tea/coffee facilities.

Breakfast was second to none and at dinner each evening we were spoilt for choice. It was excellent!

We'd heard about THE HILL but we don't think an 8 minute walk is difficult - perhaps we're used to it,living in Wales and having recently returning from Newquay now that WAS steep!

The staff were extremely efficient and there was entertainment to suit all tastes.

We are going back in June

After reading several reviews of this hotel on many sites I was expecting a good quality 4 star hotel at the top of a small incline. What I actually found was a very average 3 star hotel up a very steep hill. We are neither disabled nor elderly and found the hill to be an absolute nightmare. There are even 10 steps or a steep slope up to the reception of the hotel.

Because of the hotel's position it does not get any sun on the pool area until the afternoon, despite this people were still claiming their sunbeds at 8am. This may have been because they were woken at 7.50 am by the sound of JCB diggers drilling in to the mountain behind the hotel. This went on every day except Sunday until about 5 pm.

The hotel reception is large with a few chairs in each corner, the reception staff were friendly and helpful although there was no porter available to help with the bags either on our arrival or departure. This was very inconvenient considering we had 3 bags and a toddler in a pushchair.

There are 3 small lifts that only hold 4 people, these serve 9 floors with 30 rooms per floor. They are incredibly slow especially during meal times, trying to get an empty lift during these times is practically impossible unless you walk down to reception and commandeer a lift there. I had to do this on 3 occasions after waiting for 10 minutes for a lift with enough room in for 2 adults and a push chair.

The rooms themselves are a fair size with black out blinds and air conditioning. The air con is a bit noisy on the highest setting and ours dripped water on to the floor after it had been on for about an hour. Judging by the markings on the wall this had been going on for some time. We reported it to reception but it was not fixed during our stay.

A mini bar is provided but the drinks are a bit pricey €1.80 for a tiny bottle of coke. We took the drinks out and put our own in that we got from the supermarket about 1/2 mile down the mountain.

The bathrooms are an average size with all the usual fittings. The hotel provides a small basket with sachets of shower gel and shampoo in, these were only replenished once during the week so take your own. Towels were replace every day and the beds made every afternoon by the maids. There are no tea or coffee making facilities in the rooms we had to buy a kettle and provisions as a lot of the other guests did.

The food in the restaurant was ok but nothing at all special, we ate out most of the time as they did not cater for children unless you are happy for them to eat just chips. There was no cereals at breakfast and only 1 incredibly slow toaster. You had to buy your drinks at dinner but they provided free drinks at breakfast. The orange juice they provided was orange squash.

There is a good indoor pool as the outside pool didn't get much sun so was freezing.

You can get free bus tickets from reception for the bus that runs in to the centre of Benidorm every half hour. The walk in to town is ok it is the return journey that kills you. We always got a taxi back which cost €4.

It is worth renting a security box which are in a separate room at the back of reception. Only one guest at a time is allowed in the room.

We did not see any of the entertainment that the hotel provided so can not comment on this.

If you are prepared for an average 3 star hotel up a very steep hill you will not be disappointed. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, I would pay a bit more and stay somewhere more accessible.

The hotel was good but the food was terrible from the reports earlier I expected a lot better. I dont know if it is still the same same chef but it was the same thing every night and was that bad we ate out most of the time.

The staff in the dining room room and behind the bars were not freindly, the ones on the desk and the cleaners were very friendly, the overall verdict of our party was we would never stay at this hotel again.

On arrival we were very impressed by the size and scale of the entrance to the hotel. Before we were even booked in, the staff took our cases and politely ushered us into the restaurant before it closed, so that we could have an evening meal. The restaurant was splendid, so was the food.

Our room was adequate, cleaned each day and was well furnished. We did have to ask for extra pillows (which were there within an hour). The "power shower" certainly woke us up in the mornings, but we could relax in a deep hot bath each evening. Toiletries (soap, shampoo, gel, combs etc)were provided on a regular basis.

There was a lovely view from the balcony. The outdoor pool was being repaired whilst we were there and was not in use (which was a disapointment to my child - even though it would have been too cold for us to use), but the indoor pool was open, was clean and warm - remember to buy swimming hats from reception for the indoor pool.

The reception staff were always very polite and helpful.

Although the hotel is on a steep hill, there is a free bus service into Benidorm town, but we found that we could easliy climb the hill at a leisurely pace and the exercise did us all a power of good.

There was building work taking place behind the hotel, but this did not affect the quality of our holiday.

We would certainly return to the Palm Beach!!!

Hotel very clean rooms also very clean and tidy (rooms cleaned every day}. reception staff very helpful we booked a hire car through Sol-mar at the airport that was also star service.

Food at hotel very good and something different each night also which I have not seen before a person checking temp of all the food every 20 mins so you know the food you are getting is to a good standard.

Location of hotel is up a sleep hill out of town but many bars on the way up or down to the centre .there is a local bus service every 30 mins tickets free from reception.
hotel pools.

Outside pool is being done up but looks to be finished soon.

Inside pool great temp ok beds and seating inside next to pool very clean and tidy {you must wear a swim hat in pool which can be brought from reception for 3e}

I would advise anyone thinking of going to the hotel Palm Beach to go.

The food varied from very good to good.

All the staff were excellent. The staff in the restaurant were very friendly, even though they work around 12hours a day. Gonzales, who was the ballroom DJ, is an excellent chap, very friendly and highly amusing.

There was one big plus for us, though not teenagers anymore, we were very happy to find the hotel as its own disco "El Templo". It is only open Saturday night in winter months; it was a brilliant atmosphere and good music. I would like to go back in the summer months, when it is open every night.

I would definitely go again.

Having booked two rooms at this 4 star Hotel on September 2004 on a full board basis we were looking forward to having an excellent 7 day New Year Break. We paid Benidorm Spotlight a 20% deposit with the balance being due to the Hotel on arrival, the cost per adult approx £200 and approx £80 for the 5 year old child. The afore mentioned costs being for the Hotel only.

We had read the many reviews on your page so we knew what to expect regarding location, New Year's Eve Gala Dinner etc. Even so I contacted the Hotel regarding New Year's Eve and was advised that we had booked and paid for the Gala Dinner and festivities so food and drinks would be included. Very good, although my sister, myself and naturally the 5 year old child would not be drinking alcohol.

However, on Xmas Day we received an e-mail from Benidorm Spotlight advising us that the Hotel had asked them to point out to us that we had not paid for the Gala Dinner and despite 3 e-mails, 2 faxes and numerous telephone calls to Benidorm Spotlight I have yet to receive either an acknowledgement or a reply from them.

I rang the Hotel and took it up with them as it had also been confirmed by them. I eventually got a telephone call from the Hotel General Manager at 20.20hrs on 29th December 2004 when he told me again that I would be expected to pay 118.45 euros per person, 50% for the child, for the Gala Dinner. My reply was that we would not partake in the Gala Dinner but would just have the dinner that we had already booked on our full board basis and were being charged for. He then told me in no uncertain terms that paying for the Gala Dinner was compulsory and that a "No pay, No stay" rule applied. He said he would insist that I cancel the booking for the 2 rooms for the 7 nights if I was not prepared to pay the supplement. He told me that he had had several non-contracted staff who did not fully understand the rates and that I must have spoken to them.
Unfortunately we felt we had no alternative as we were scheduled to leave home less than 12 hours later with a child who was so looking forward to going to Benidorm.

Many people staying at the Hotel had paid approx £200 per person for their 7 night stay including their flights via First Choice.
Having said so much about the cost of New Year's Eve I must admit that the food was excellent although the non drinkers definately subsidised the drinkers.

Unfortunately the food throughout the rest of the stay did not live up to the standard of New Year's Eve nor did the service. There was a lot of casual staff brought in to cope with the numbers at the Gala Dinner but unfortunately only 4 members of staff to cope with the same numbers for all mealtimes on 1st and until Dinner on 2nd of January, 40 minutes in a queue to get into the Restaurant then 20 minutes waiting for your table to be set up for you - not 4 star quality and standard!

Things got better after 300 guests departed after lunch on the 2nd.Despite working under so much pressure the Restaurant staff were most definately the most pleasant of the employees.

The carpet in the corridor of the 5th floor was absolutely filthy but was eventually shampooed on 4th January although all other areas were kept clean.

The indoor swimming pool was unfortunately not warm enough to spend a great deal of time in.

The local bus stopping outside the hotel entrance was a definite advantage and the free tickets available from Reception a bonus.

Whilst we will no doubt visit Benidorm again I would not expect us to stay at this Hotel again.

I booked two weeks at the Palm Beach Hotel hoping for some peace and quiet, nice food and service to help myself recuperate from various operations.

Cleanliness was excellent. Rooms adequately furnished although the pillows were a joke consisting only of hard lumps. And although I asked for replacements, all I got were more "hard lumps".

Food was mediocre, boring, repetitive and mostly lukewarm, although there was always a lovely selection of fresh fruit.

Location is up a very steep hill, in fact if you are walking from Benidorm it's four steep hills. There is a bus stop about 20m from the hotel and tickets are provided f.o.c. for journeys into Benidorm. The buses were every half hour and mostly on time.

The reception staff seemed to have only limited knowledge of foreign languages and it was almost impossible to converse. There was no porter service available and nobody willing to help with luggage which made life difficult with all those steps in the hotel and living on the ninth floor.

There was no sun on either the balconies or in the pool area all day as the place is shaded by the surrounding skyscrapers.

The road from the hotel's car park was always full of daily new dog's mess, which was quite revolting and was not cleared by anybody.

Mountains are being moved by power tools directly behind the hotel and there is no escape from the banging and crashing from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. except Sundays.

No, I would not return to the Palm Beach, nor would I recommend it to anybody. What good is an impressive Entrance Hall when you don't get the service one should be able to expect from a 4* Hotel?

PALM BEACH HOTEL, BENIDORM

SAT 25 SEPT - SAT 02 OCT 2004

We have just returned from a fantastic holiday at the Palm Beach Hotel. We paid £250 for a 7 day stay on a half board basis.
Location - As we climbed the hill to the hotel for the first time on the coach we were worried that we would have to get a taxi back to the hotel all the time as it seemed quite steep. At first we were worried about the location but after our first venture out we ended up really pleased. The hill to the hotel across from the indoor market is more of a steady incline. It is very easy to walk up, it doesn’t hurt the back of your legs and doesn’t seem like a hill at all. There are plenty of shops on the incline and some decent bars such as the Yorkshire Pride 2 and the Stretford End. The final 70 yards or so to the hotel is steeper, it is a small hill and it makes you glad that the whole of the journey up isn’t as steep! Overall, the incline to the hotel never caused us any problems but I would imagine it could cause some older people more problems BUT the hotel provides a free return bus service from outside the hotel down into Benidorm. You simply collect your tickets from reception, buses are every half an hour. Surrounding the hotel are other apartments and residential blocks. The Palm Beach has quite a privileged location as it overlooks Benidorm. The area is quiet and clean. Their were some light building works to the rear of the hotel but these never caused any problems and the only noise was in the background during the day.
Room - The rooms are quite compact and utilise space well. The bathroom is set in marble and tiles and has a large bath with a powerful shower, a nice marble sink area with large mirror, hair dryer, b-day and toilet. The hotel provides you with a basket full of complimentary shower gel, shampoo, soap etc. The bedroom area is nicely decorated; ours had 2 large separate beds, bedside table, drawers/cupboards, large wardrobe with plenty of hangers, colour tv with news/sport channels and a very useful chilled mini-bar that was stocked with beers, water, soft drinks, chocolate, snacks etc. Prices were very reasonable for the items inside however, we preferred to purchase our own drinks (soft drinks and bottled beers) from the supermarket and chill them in the mini-bar as their was plenty of free space. The room was air conditioned effectively. You could control the heat and speed from warm to cold with 3 speed settings. All rooms overlook the pool. We were on the 6th floor and we had a really nice view over the pool and down into Benidorm. The balcony was a decent size with a table and 2 chairs and extendable washing line. One word of warning though, check the plastic balcony chairs before you sit on them as unfortunately one afternoon I was sitting on one and it started to creak until it broke beneath me and I ended up on the floor! I’m not particularly overweight but the chairs weren’t very strong so we used one of the wooden chairs from our room instead!!! The maid came every day, made the beds and changed towels. You had to put your towels in the bath if you required them changing, this was to cut down on environmental damage. Good idea. Overall, the rooms were very clean, just the right size and had everything we required.
Hotel - The hotel was spotless throughout and very impressive with a lot of marble, statues etc. The entrance was particularly impressive. Reception staff were very helpful and friendly and always efficient. The hotel has a small shop that stocks newspapers, souvenirs etc. 3 lifts to all floors, never took long to arrive although maybe they would be busy at restaurant opening times. A safety deposit box is available near reception in a safety room. You pay 3 euros deposit which is refundable and approx 10 euros for a week. Reception give you a key that opens the safety room door and also opens your safety deposit box along with your own key. This safety room is quite a good idea buy maybe a little more inconvenient than having a box in your own room. Guests at the hotel included British, Spanish, German and Dutch. It seemed their were many Spanish staying at the hotel and some were even using the wedding function rooms which maybe proves that this is a good hotel as otherwise the Spanish wouldn’t stay there. Not many families were staying at the hotel, mainly couples.
Pool - The hotel has an indoor and outdoor pool. We never used the indoor pool but it does look nice. The outdoor pool was excellent. It wasn’t a giant lagoon pool but just the right size in a circular sort of shape with palm trees in the middle, a bridge and shallow ends. It was always very clean, the water was cold but you got used to it after a minute or so! Their were plenty of sunbeds available around the pool , the green ones are better as they are adjustable. You could borrow towels from reception if needed. You could sunbathe either by the pool-side or on the grass surrounded by palm trees. There is a pool-side bar that serves drinks and snacks at usual pool-side bar prices! The cheese and ham toasties are very nice! Shower and toilet facilities are available.
Food/Restaurant - The restaurant is large and their were always plenty of tables available. It is very well air conditioned and we didn’t sit at a table once that was too hot or uncomfortable. Waiter service is efficient and you pay your drinks bill when you leave the restaurant. All the staff seemed very pleasant. Whilst we were there breakfast was served 8-11am and tea 7:30-10:30pm but during the winter times change to one hour earlier. Breakfast was very varied and included full English, Cereals, toast, meats/hams, fruit juices and even Bucks Fizz! The evening meal was also quite varied. You always had a choice of around 5 or 6 main courses as well as fish every night. Sometimes their were chefs specials such as carved off the joint ham (yummy) and a choice of pastas and sauces cooked and served by the chef while you wait (again, yummy!). Main courses included steak, spicy pork ribs (these were VERY nice), chicken, Paella, Ghoulash, etc along with chips/potatoes, rice, vegetables (although I would have liked to have seen more vegetables), cold meats, cheeses, salad, bread etc etc. Desserts included Profiteroles, Ice Cream and a good selection of cakes as well as lovely fresh fruit. Overall, we enjoyed all the food at the hotel. Their was always a good selection, my personal fave were the ribs mmmm! The food was always hot and we never had any problems with the temperature of it. It was always cooked well too.
Bars/Entertainment - We never visited the hotel main bar once so couldn’t comment on the entertainment at all.
Overall, we had a fantastic time staying at the Palm Beach Hotel. It was a lot better than what we expected. The rooms, food and pool were all great. The location was nice and the slope to the hotel wasn’t as bad as we thought it would be. In fact, the position and area of the hotel was nice and quiet. We would definitely return to this hotel and would look to book it again the next time we visit Benidorm.

Arrived on the Saturday and at first the hotel seemed great; friendly staff, great pool, nice room, edible food.
Then on the Monday to my utter dismay the building work from surrounding sites started from 8am to 8pm! My tour operator failed to mention this so thanks Expedia!

The food was nice, lots to choose from but could have been heated better instead of being luke warm. The Menu was the same most nights so became quite boring.
In the evenings the resturant has music from 8pm- 12 midnight which at first didn't pose a problem that was until the staff decided to put the speakers outside so that all of the hotel as well as half the neighbourhood could hear the music! This in my view downgraded the hotel considerably!
Then money was stolen from my room and when I eventually got to speak to the manager he was less than sympathetic and frankly needed customer relations training!
I never retrieved the stolen money and I left to return home with a bitter taste in my mouth. I won't be going back!

we stayed in the palm beach in jan 2004. 16 of us travelled and we were celebrating 3 birthdays. we only went from fri to sun but we will be going back in october for my birthday and will stay for at least 1 week. We booked our flights through easyjet and we booked the palm beach with travel agents JLM TRAVEL. the girl in JLM TRAVEL was great she knew benidorm very well. she told us the hotel was up heart attack hill but we could get the bus and taxis very cheap if we were unable! to walk. The hotel was fab we loved the champagne breakfasts the food was excellent, the rooms were great mini bar in each. the staff were very friendly, this was my first visit to benidorm and i didnt know what to expect lots of peaople said it was tacky, maybe but the standards of this hotel were not. i will be returning to the palm beach and i will book again with JLM TRAVEL as we had a fantastic time

We visit Benidorm in either January or February almost every year and have stayed in various hotels in most areas of the resort across the years. It was allocation on arrival this time and did we land on our feet. The hotel couldn't have been bettered in almost every respect.

The food quality ranged from good to excellent with an appetising and interesting menu (Go for the pork ribs when they are on !!!) and the hotel staff couldn't have been more helpful . . . . No problem parking our hire car either.

Couple of minor gripes??? They could do with more chairs and sofas in the reception area where it is cooler and quieter in the evenings, and the entertainment at almost 11 pm on some nights was poorly attended because most guests had gone off the idea by then. . . . In all I would probably choose this hotel specifically next time

Came back yesturday after spending a week (including new-year) in this hotel. Well, where to start, holiday was allocated on arrival and we couldn't have asked for more. The hotel itself was lovely, with a good selection of food and good entertainment most evenings.

As for new years itself, you couldn't have beat it, 8 course meal including steak and lobster, free drinks all night and great entertainment! They even celebrated new year twice, once at midnight for the spanish and french and again at 1 to coincide with our new year.

Would definately recommend this hotel and would happily stay there again myself.

The Palm Beach hotel is situated on the hillside overlooking the bay of Benidorm, just far enough away from the tourist rat race yet within walking distance of both the Levante beach and nightlife. The lobby and reception are very impressive and are a good indication of the standard of the hotel (4*) and what to expect from a hotel of this class.

Rooms are quite spacious, considerably bigger than some other holiday hotels, furnished tastefully and well equipped with colour satellite TV, mini bar, hairdryer, air con and en-suite bathrooms spacious and well fitted.

Maid service daily and linen changed regularly. Breakfast offering traditional cooked breakfast as well as healthier options such as cereal and fruit all served buffet style. Evening meal (again buffet style) displayed a good selection of starters, main courses all freshly cooked and well presented with tempting desserts to follow. The lively bar is spacious with plenty of seats.

The hotels' grounds are spacious and well tended, gardens colourful and swimming pool and surrounding terraces clean and equipped with sufficient sun beds. Other facilities include:
Pool bar
Indoor pool (closed in summer)
Gym
Games room
Disco
Entertainment
Shop and hair salon

To sum up. This was probably the best hotel we could have stayed in for our 10 day holiday, we had a great time and were comfortable and well looked after. Older guests may have a problem with the hill, however there is a regular courtesy bus available to the town. The staff were courteous and spoke good English.

We received excellent service in both restaurants and bars. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wishes to stay in Benidorm but doesn't want to be strangled by it!

This hotel was very good, although as we had one child, the room seemed small as it was a double, but they fitted an extra single bed in.

The food was good, and different most nights. We found the animation team in the day very good, did lots of different things, archery pistol shooting rifle shooting, ping pong, pool tournaments, etc. The night entertainment was okay, but the disco was on till 10 pm, then the entertainment came on, a bit late for the children but most nights it was good.

The pool was lovely, and had an indoor one, the gym was usable but a bit too many broken machines and yes, it was up the hill but you get free bus tickets, for the whole of Benidorm for every day, which is good. Hotel is a good 4 star.

Really enjoyed it.

This hotel is beautiful, clean and elegant. It has a few 'palms' and is far from the 'beach', I don't know how it got its name!

There is a free regular bus service into town that is well worth using.

The hotel (like most in Benidorm) overlooks other sky scrapers. The saving grace is that the hotel is a lovely luxurious safe haven to go 'home' to.

We were there at Easter and the pool was freezing but the hotel does have an indoor one. I would recommend the hotel but not Benidorm.

We are off to Gran Canaria next week we will be very lucky if the hotel we're booked in equals Hotel Palm Beach.

Cheers
Manx Bird

We stayed at this hotel in october 02 on a half board basis. This is a really nice hotel. The rooms are really nice and spacious and very clean, we were on the 4th floor and the view from our balcony was brilliant.

We never ate much in the hotel but when we did the food was always good. This hotel has a lovely outdoor pool it is large fairly warm and we always got a sunbed and we did not go down some days untill 12pm. The hotel also has lots of other things to offer like an indoor pool, gym, sauna etc. The hotel is situated on top of a hill although we never found the hill a problem as there are bars all the way down to the main resort centre which is about a 5 min walk away.

I would recommend this hotel to practically anyone, the only people who should think twice about visiting this hotel are people with walking difficulties.

Returned from this Hotel on 01/06/2002 after booking a late deal for one week. Travelling couple aged 29 and 24.

The Hotel was very quiet this time of the year with a lot of older guests and spanish guests staying, evening entertainment was poor to say the least but seemed to be focused at the type of guests at the Hotel and may improve during peak season.

Food was average not much choice but always seemed to be cooked and prepared correctly and we never starved.

Beach and local bars are a bit of a walk down a steep hill, ok going but not so good coming back after a few beers.

Rooms were clean and tidy but connecting walls very thin so you could here everything from the ajacent rooms. Lower floor rooms look out over rooftop not very pleasant try and ask for a higher level floor with an end room to reduce the chances of being waken by guests returning late.

Not the best 4 Star Hotel I have ever stayed at but pleasant enough and you shouldn't be put of staying here if you have already booked. If you want to be close to the beach and nightlife you might want to lok at another Hotel.
