| said: I'll start with the entertainment and Location as I rated them lower than a 5.
Location was superb and the only thing stopping me from rating a 5 was the slightly longer than expect walk to the beach, via decking/steps which was very difficult with a push chair. That said, there was plenty of decking running across the back of the beach to get my daughter off to sleep midday in her push chair. Life guards on duty all the time, flag system on beach for sea. When the tide goes out the sea is like a pond, when it's in the waves are a little bigger!
Entertainment was nightly in the cocktail bar, a variety of singing, saxaphone acts, children restricted to 22:00hrs, (and quite rightly too), never understood parents who leave there kids up lter than this!).
The overall resort was spacious and despite being fully booked, it never seemed busy.
Pine Cliffs comprises of a Hotel (Sheraton), Townhouses(independently owned), Apartments (Resort owned Villas (Resort/Privately owned?).
We were initially booked into a town house but switched to an apartment due to burst pipes. SLightly apprehensive when we arrive, we shouldn't have been as the apartment was first class.
Restraurents, of which there were six, were excellent, epecially the Buffet (i've never seen so much food!), and the Morrocan. Book early to avoid disappointment.
Kids play area was great, although the kids club/staff looked a little dubious in terms of their skills in controls the kids. I got the impression that some parents simply put there uncontrollable kids in there just to get away from them! At the end of the day, I wouldn't put mine in there anyway!
Activites, included 2 large pirate ships to climb on, small park, Bouncey castte, ride-on toys, hoops, sand pit, large paddling pool, basketball court, go-kart/ride-on toy track and mini-golf. There also seemed to be organsied activites for the older ones such as football, however mine is only three so she just watched!!!
There are three outdoor pools and a nine hole golf course. The pool near the golf course (and apartments), is heated and gets warmer quicker.
Golf works out very expensive if you don't have your own clubs, and food in the restraurents in the evening can be around £35-£50 per head with the drinks.
Good facilities on the beach with beds and canopys and a beach bar (serving food).
Remember this is a five star resort and there is a large jump up from four star in terms of service and price. The positive to this is that you get a 'better class of guest' (not meant to be a snobby comment). Typically this resort is for parents or couples that are 'slightly older'. If I can afford it I would definately go again.
