| said: The room was small and sheets were dirty blood was on the main bedroom wall. My son had the sofa bed which had no extra bedding we had to wait hours for some sheets and when you have been travelling all night you just want to rest.
We were located on ground floor right next to pool and bar area. You awoke early with people around the pool and noise around the bar area went on to early hours.
A few people had stayed here before and raved on how nice the owners are.
Well I thought the were rude, never had any thing you wanted at the bar and not friendly at all.
It is a good 30 min walk to main Icmeler downhill, but you can never get a bus back up so we got taxi.
Wouldn't recommend someone who has trouble walking or little children who tire easily. Bar food awful. Save money and eat in town.
Swimming pool tiny but very deep no shallow bit for children, and sun only stays round pool area until lunchtime then the complex blocks off light around pool area all day.

| said: This was second time going back to Castle Appartments, because we knew what to expect and they are very friendly and nice to us here. They play good music in the day time by the pool, have good evenings for the people staying and a lovely view over Icmeler. There so nice and i would like to visit again to see them!

| said: The room we stayed in was clean a spacious with clean bedding every day, floors cleaned and mopped the maid was brilliant. The food was of a very good standard and the staff are always there to please. This is a family run hotel and the family are great and are always there to please you they go out of there way for you, we have been four times and no doubt we will be going again very soon the castle apartments is our second home.

As you read the other reviews about Castle Apartments, you can see that it really is a very good place to stay, and it is! Firstly I must point out that the Goldtrail pictures do not do the apartments justice! Secondly the apartments shouldn’t be 2star, at the least it should be 3star. If you want a relaxing, problem-free holiday, Castle apartments are the place to stay.
My boyfriend and me stayed hear in July, we wanted a relaxing holiday, not too quiet, but we also didn’t want it to be a party holiday. The apartments are situated in an ideal location, away from all the “riffraff” but still only a gentle 10-minuet stroll away from the centre. There is a slight hill, which leads to the apartments, but it was no problem for us and as a result of the hill, the apartments had a wonderful view over Icmeler.
Due to the pictures on the Goldtrail website, we didn’t really know what to expect but the apartments have their own website http://www.castleapart.com/ (sometimes doesn’t work but always try it) which has much better pictures. When we arrived at Castle there were two good-sized pools, free sun beds, and a bar, which also served very good food, and never seemed to close. This was great for us, coming back late at night and wouldn’t be a problem for others as it doesn’t play loud music when its late.
The rooms were very good and better than I expected! The rooms were of a good size, especially the bathroom that I expected to be much smaller. The air conditioning (payable locally) was perfect and we had 4 balconies at least 2 had good views.
I haven’t got a bad thing to say about Castle Apartments, they were perfect for me, and I would definitely go back there. Ozgur and family were great; they do whatever they can for anyone! They even cooked me chips at 2 in the morning and gave us lifts to the centre whenever they saw us walking. I must also say that Uncle is a great character and definitely entertained us! I originally booked to stay at the Bellevue hotel in Icmeler but after reading bad reviews I changed to Castle Apartments and I am very glad I did as the apartments really did make our holiday, especially as my boyfriend got sunstroke for a few days. In Icmeler try the Wayside restaurant, we went hear 4 evenings out of 7,it was delicious food and also the Friends bar is great entertainment! For young people there are 2clubs in icmeler, which are also very good.
I would defiantly recommend these apartments and would go back again!

| said: Very clean and insect free. Regular visits from the maids. Both pools cleaned every night. The food is very good if you choose dine there. If you dont see it on the menu they will attempt to make it for you. This is a family run hotel and they are extremely helpful. Nothing is too much for them. This was my 2nd visit to castle and I will return for another holiday there.

| said: We have never stayed in anything other than larger hotels/apartments in many holidays. We were apprehensive when we seen how small the Castle apartments were but such was the welcome and attention we received we need not have worried.
Ozgur and his staff were so friendly and helpful which you could never find in larger accomodation. 'Uncle' is one of the best chaacters you could ever wish to meet.
The room was very clean and the air conditioning was next to perfect. Only one or 2 small problems - the lack of a toaster and the small fridge needs attention.
The 2 pools are generous in size and there are ample sunloungers (and they're free!). The bar is always open and in our week the company and craic were first class. Prices are good too. Meals are of a very good standard and nothing is a problem such as extra portions, sauces, drinks etc.
The entertainment consisted of a Turkish night. While some may frown at the lack of shows it is in the context of a small hotel and the economics of putting on night after night shows would not remotely add up. The get together that we did have was good and it was enjoyable to talk to the other guests and enjoy the evening's banter.
So many folk seem to go back to the Castle and I couldn't blame them. My family have never gone back to the same resort nevermind the same apartments but the Castle and Icmeler would be the ones that would reverse this trend.
And if you are in Icmeler try the Mr. Chef restaurant about 10 minutes away fron the Castle Apartments - they were by far the best of the dozens eating places in the resort.

| said: My husband I stayed in the castle aparts last year for 2 weeks. It was our 5th time in icmeler and it was the best hotel we've stayed in.
The staff are so friendly nothing is too much bother and they could'nt have been more helpful. The room was cleaned daily and we had fresh flowers on the bed and in the living room.
We had 3 balconies the only thing wrong was our fridge, but we got that sorted. It was so good we are thinking of going again this year.
The walk into town was a bit much but we walked in and got a taxi back. Had food a few times it was fine.

| said: I stayed in these apartments the last week in May. The apartments are located in the old village and in the middle of a residential area.
They are located at about the highest point in Icmeler, there is a slight hill to go up to reach the apartments, nothing too strenuous.
As a result of this hill you get fabulous views over Icmeler and as the hotel is in amongst other houses it is very peaceful.
I awoke each morning to birds singing and the sound of the cockerel in the next property. For me this was a brilliant location because of the view and the quiet. Having said that the nearest shop is only 5 minutes away and there are bars and restaurants within 10 minutes gentle stroll.
The apartment owner, Oscar and his family are fabulous, very friendly and helpful. I had some issues on holiday, nothing to do with the apartments and Oscar ran me into Marmaris and helped me greatly for which I am very grateful
Apartments are spotless, cleaned daily and the cleaner even left fresh cut flowers in the kitchen area as well as a beautiful display of flowers set up on the bed, a lovely touch.
There are about 20 apartments split into 2 blocks. There are 2 swimming pools as well as sufficient sunbeds and a bar which never seems to close and also does food. Each apartment seems to have at least 2 balconies, we had 3.
These apartments are Goldtrail apartments but dont let that put you off. Some of their places are very poor, but this one is fabulous. Good sized bathroom and living area, the bedroom is a bit on the small side but more than adequate. Only slight gripe is the kitchen area which only has a small tabletop fridge.
Air conditioning is £30 per week, safe deposit box £10 per week. Weather was typically around 25--30 degrees each day but the apartments remained cool enough not to require the air conditioning.
We were the only ones booked into these apartments for the week so as such there was no entertainment. Oscar does organise weekly barbeque's and a Turkish night when the apartments are occupied
I can recommend these apartments and I would definitely go back again.

| said: We booked what we expected to be a basic holiday at a very basic price. When we got there we were surprised to see two lovely pools, an outside bar and an outside poolside cafe.
The only few downsides we could find to this hotel are that in most of the apartments there is only a small fridge. The air conditioning needs upgraded and a few more pots and maybe a toaster would be handy for people who actually want to cook, me I was on holiday and because a meal, which includes a free starter and usually free fruit as a dessert costs only approx 8 lira or under £3, we did not find this a problem.
The problem with the air conditioning is being addressed, Ozgur told us that they are all being upgraded for next year and he is also hoping to have a play area added for kids and even more sunbeds.
Enough about the downfalls of staying here, on the plus side, you could not meet a nicer family. They find nothing a trouble, the maids are little gems. I would go here anytime and absolutely enjoy myself, anyone who could not should just stay at home and moan about the weather....thank you Ozgur for a lovely holiday

| said: We were on the 4th floor 'penthouse' attic.
If you can manage the stairs we would fully recommend these apartments. We had one private balcony with fantastic views of the village, all the surrounding panoramic views of the mountains, right down to the sea.
We ate every day either pool snacks or one evening had a meal and found the standards high and good quality. One of our party is vegetarian and it was not problem catering for her.
We found the location no problem with the village being a 10 minute wander away but people with small children or walking difficulties may find it a little out of the way but having said that we spent most of our days around the pool and did not attempt the small hill to the apartment in 40 degree heat!!
All the hotel staffs were very friendly with Ozgur and his new wife going out of their way. The bar is open 24 hours with someone always being there for you 'whatever' time you arrive back.
Music was playing throughout the day which was nice whilst around the pool - we did not partake in the evening barbeque but did get good feedback from other people who were staying.
We would definitely stay at these apartments again - asking for the same room and would recommend them to anyone.

Location of apartments is a little out of town, however with the constant hassle & noise in icmeler town this was no bad thing !. Location is almost in a quiet residential area, but is only 5 mins walk to the nearest bar/restaurant.
Hotel staff very friendly & helpful carrying luggage up to room & always saying hello. Not too much in the way of entertainment, but this would probably increase when the apartments are more full.

| said: We stayed at this hotel as we refused to stay in the Onat apartments on which we were originally booked. The Castle apartments were fab, relaxing, and the staff who included Maid, uncle, chef and Ozcur were great friends to have.
Any problems that may arose they always did their best to help. Only drawback was the distance away from the main part of the town apart from that no other complaints.

| said: We booked these apartments with a local travel agent a couple of weeks before we went. They were the only ones we could find within our price range and for the dates we needed. I'm sorry to say we didn't really enjoy our 2 weeks at the Castle, for a variety of reasons.
Firstly, I know you might say "well its cheap to eat in Turkey" maybe so, but,it was meant to be a self catering holiday and it would of been nice to have a fridge big enough to put bottles of lemonade or water in with an ice box to put lollices in for the kids to have instead of having to buy them from the owners/at the bar all the time.
Secondly, the owners insisted on asking us for the fob key everytime we went out of a morning and of an evening, so consequently by the time we came back to the apartment it was like a furness! because the air conditioning (which we paid £60 for) was turned off. The food in the fridge wasn't very cold either.
The apartments were far from the beach and the dolmus didn't stop anywhere near to take you there. So you walked, which was bad enough going, but coming back was a nightmare because you also had 2 quite steep roads to walk up as well in 40 degree heat.
We saw the cleaner now and again in the apartments but we didn't get clean sheets or towels that often.
The entertainment in the apartments was a weekly barbecue only, we didn't bother going because of the feedback from guests who had been plus you could get a far better barbecue night with Turkish dancers etc at other apartments in the town.
The goldtrail rep didn't arrive for the welcome meeting on our first morning - after us sitting and waiting for ages.
I happened to catch him as he was on his way out of the apartments when I was returning later in the afternoon. But he was in a rush and we didn't see him again all holiday.
Nothing going on around the small complex to make you want to stay there for a drink plus we didn't really find the owners as welcoming as the rest of the Turkish people in the town.

| said: The hotel was very clean and nicely situated on the outskirts of the town. It was perfect for a relaxing holiday. We had excellent views from our two balconies and enjoyed the 24 hour bar facilities. It is a 15 minute walk from the beach, which is good if you've over indulged! I would definately recommend this hotel to small famlies and couples. You can,if desired eat at the hotel. The food is basic but is convienent if you're having a lazy day by the pool.
