| said: This is probably one of the nicest hotels in Icmeler. Very nice rooms, comfortable beds and very clean. The food was boring and repetative for a 5* hotel. Virtually no entertainment during the day & night due to the fact it was the "end of the season". Not really an excuse as we paid the same as people who were there in the height of the season. Would I return? Probably not, mainly because I didn't like Icmeler very much but the hotel overall was nice.

| said: hotel in suberb location. difficult to say anything negative, staff very polite and welcoming, rooms always cleaned to an high standard every day [tip] if you dont want waking up by the cleaners at 8-15 then make sure you put out your do not disturb sign.fitted carpets in hotel makes the place very quiet no noise at night.food not up to 5 star quality, ok if you like veal and turkey also lay out of restaraunt is baffling long walk to all sections before you sit down. must dissagree with last review with regards to the guitar player in the afternoon plays very dull music, not holidish at all, by the end of our 10 days felt like going up to him and telling him to play something cheerfull for gods sake!only proper negative point was the so called entertainment, it was dire, the comedy show was an insult to our intelligence it consist of dragging people from the audience onto the stage to make fools of them, not funny at all, and then they have the nerve to try and sell you bingo tickets at 20lira [£10] for a strip of 6 to win 30 lira [£15]would I go back? yes if the food was better, and the entertainment staff was shot.

| said: This is a lovely comfortable hotel which is in a superb position right on the beach. We were pleasantly surprised by the overall holiday which we really enjoyed. The standard rooms were very nicely furnished with mini bar, tea making facilities and plenty of storage space, balcony with good sea view. Sheets and towels were changed every day and the cleaner left it spotless.
There was always plenty of sunbeds around the pool and on the beach and you could change your towels as often as you liked and this was high season. Music around the pool was muted so it was not disturbing. It was switched up when pool games were on which was only twice a day and did not impact on all the pool just a corner of the large pool. The pool was deep but it did not seem to cause a problem.
The melon and ice cold towels brought around in the afternoon to refresh were most welcome in the hot weather.
The were never any queues at the bars and there were no restrictions on drinks, as many and as often as you wanted. The alcholic content of the drinks was never questioned as they were very strong. You could also take your drinks onto the beach.
The entertainment in the evening like all AIs is varying with some good nights and some not so good but we enjoyed it and the entertainment team were good fun. A nice touch was a guitar player every afternoon by the bar.
The food was served throughout the day and there was ver little time when it was not available. We did eat out sometimes but there were plenty of choices if you want to stay in and the food was good quality and well presented.
The grounds in this hotel are beautiful with streams, fountains and bridges and plenty of seating.
We enjoyed our stay and we would return.

We were very dissapointed in the food, no way was this of a 5 star quality there was hardly any selection. No steaks, salmon, prawns or roasts, just one choice of potatoes, chips, runny mash or saute. Dont go to late breakfast its just left overs. Lunch and breakfast was ok. Afternoon snack consisited of chips with either nuggets, burgers or meatballs. we have had better food in 3 star hotels. It was hot and edible, a lot of people ate out.

| said: First visit to Turkey.Came to this hotel and booked in ourselves, because the original hotel that tour company booked us into was to say the least atrocious, and supposedly 4 star, so viewed this hotel very positively. We had no problems and found staff more than helpful. Very welcoming and friendly staff. Entertainment staff, exceptionally friendly, although content of entertainment a bit amateurish. Eating:there was always something you could eat , chefs prepared fresh food in evenings and breakfast, no worse than the normal buffet food and better than some. Grounds in excellent condition, plenty sun beds, don't know how that will be in the summer though, also more than enough sun beds on private beach. All in all we had a really nice time at this hotel, and found it compared well with other foreign 5 stars we have stayed in. Accept that Med 5 stars do not always compare to UK 5 stars.

| said: We have just returned from our fourth stay in the Aqua and reading these reports I wonder whether there are two hotels of the same name in this resort.
The bedrooms have recently been refurbished and are amongst the most comfortable in which we have ever stayed.
The staff in all aspects of the hotel are so friendly and helpful that we choose this hotel year after year.
I have to admit that a lot of the people staying at the Aqua have also stayed many times which gives some indication of its popularity.
The food may not be to everyone taste but you are in Turkey and allowances must be made. There are so many places to eat in Icmeler that if you don't like the menu one evening then you can easily eat out for a change.
The pool area and gardens are lovely and if you are lucky enough to have a sea view then you can sit on your balcony with a drink in the evening and take in the scenery.
The air conditioning in our room did break down on one occassion but after one call to reception, someone came to look at it straight away and it was repaired.
Please don't let the negative comments put you off going to the Aqua,if you have a problem report them to reception and they will do their best to put it right for you.

| said: Two days before we were due to fly out, we were told that our original hotel was over booked and we were being moved to the Aqua.
Having read the some of the negative reports about this hotel I was not looking forward to going there.
I cannot comment on the food in the hotel as we never ate there as we prefer to go out for meals and never up early enough for breakfast
The room was well decorated with TV, Mini Bar (not to expensive), kettle and safety deposit box and air conditioning. There were a couple of chairs, table and beds which were very comfortable. The room had a beautiful view over the bay.
Bathroom was fine don’t know what some people are looking for in a bathroom when they complain about the size, at the end of the day you only shower, s**** and shave there. There was a hairdryer but it was not very good for styling hair just okay for drying.
The hotel was spotless
To get the best value from this hotel you really need to stay within the complex which has everything Gym, Sauna pool .
Staff could do with being a bit more helpful on reception and cheerier, but all in all lovely hotel
If they did a room only basis I would definitely go back. Unfortunately I think they only do half board.

| said: The location of the hotel couldn't be faulted and I think this is why it gets a 5 star rating in all of the brochures. Having been to Turkey on 2 previous occasions I was disappointed with the overall standard of service at the hotel which was certainly not up to it's 5 star rating. The bathrooms are very old fashioned and very small!
The food was of a good standard but fussy eaters might find a problem with the type of food, but unfortunately the service provided by the waiters was very poor.
The pool was clean and the service provided by the pool staff was excellent.

| said: We have just returned from spending a week at the hotel aqua and cannot understand the negative reports that have been posted on this wesite about this hotel, although we would agree that it can only really be classed as a 3*+ hotel.
The hotel was always clean including the poolside. with the exception of the indoor swimming pool which is in desperate need of refurbishing.
The food in hotel buffet restuarant was very good considering the amount of people they have to cater for the choice was exceptional and the food served was lovely and fresh and hot food was hot! and you were spoiled for choice at breakfast, we did in the Al a carte resturant but we found this dreadful the food was cold and they did not cater for vegetarians when we challenged about this the staff were very off hand but they did get a
vegetarian meal for us from the buffet!! But they served it 15 mins before the rest of our party had their meal.
We did eat out a couple of times but found the decent resturants very expensive and preferred the food at the hotel!
The location of the hotel could not be faulted.
If we were to return to would consider staying here again, but there are also many other nice hotels there to choose from.

| said: We stayed for a week in this hotel on HB basis, the food was not at quality which we are used to have in other 5 star hotels we stayed till now where in general food in Turkey is excellant what we had was second degree cheap food.
The first room we received was with noisy aircondition and the door of the bathroom can not be closed easily in the second room.
The sink was blocked, the bath room does not give you the feeling of 5 star hotel old and repaired with crackes. The staff is realy not friendly, as if they are serving you without any desire, knowing Turkish we hear unpleasent words from staff about the requests of visites which does not reflect the famous Turkish hospitality.
Twice I asked them to put a napkin for the bread cutting board. The prices of drinks were very high. For after dinner entertainment we prefered to go to other nearby hotels, I think the other visiters also has done the same each night there were no much people around the show area.
They close the pool area at 6 O'clock where there is still sun, visiters wanted to stay more around the pool but they ask the towels. Internet price was astronomic and personnel service was not polite.
Nobody answers your internal hotel calls. there is no enough staff in the reception counter....Simply this is not a 5 star hotel which we are used to stay in Turkey. We enjoyed the holiday, night life and Turkish hospitality in Icmeler but not in Aqua Hotel again. Icmeler

| said: My friend and I stayed at the Aqua for one week during June 2005.
We thought we would splash out and treat ouurselves to a 5 star hotel. I can only say I was bitterly dissapointed. It was my first time to stay in a five star hotel and I was expecting pampering and luxury.
I have stayed in far superior hotels that have only been three and four stars. We found the reception staff generally unhelpful. We had to change rooms twice as the first room was at the back of the hotel overlooking another building's air conditioning vents (we had booked 12 months previously and specially requested sea views).
They reluctantly moved us to another room which was dreadful. The room smelled, the mini bar fridge was broken and leaking, the room was dirty and one of the beds had not been made. The television was switched on and there was an indentation on the bed covers as if someone had been sitting watching it watching the tv. They only moved us to a decent room when the rep intervened.
The air conditioning did not work properly and we sweltered at night. All in all not a 5 star establishment.

| said: I and my husband stayed at the Aqua hotel in Icmeler from 10th June to 24th June.
First impressions were excellent, lovely reception area and setting. However rooms were of a low standard for a five star hotel.
We found the food in the restaurant generally acceptable but not much variety over the 2 weeks. We tended to eat out at least every second night. The set up of the restaurant was confusing having to walk from one end of the restaurant to the other just to get all foods required - a nightmare I would imagine if you had children or were disabled.
If you arrived at the restaurant after 8pm you were lucky to get a cleared and clean table with new cutlery and glasses. Twice we sat through our meal without being offered a drink. Drinks service at the bar was also slow.
Any requests or contact with reception was met with an unhelpful and unfriendly response. We never once managed to get a bed at the poolside.
Overall, the Aqua hotel does not meet 5 star standards mainly in terms of service and room quality.
We thoroughly enjoyed the hospitality Icmeler offered and will certainly return but not to stay at the Aqua.

| said: Well what can I say me and my husband stayed in this hotel on the 3rd of June till the 17th june 2005 it was our honeymoon we arrived and was given a room with no view what so ever. I went down to the reception and asked for a room change they acted as though they didnt understand English all they said they had no rooms because they were full but I knew there was.
We got no help what so ever, the air conditioning was never working I went to the reception to ask them to turn it on as my husband suffers astma all they kept doing was sending the workmen up to look at it but they said it was, it was cooler outside I said to them my husband went through 3 inhalers while there I told the Manos rep when I finally saw her all she said was there are chemists around the resort, which I thought was terrible,
As for the food they never once catered for the English me and my husband went out to eat every night I compained to the staff about it all they said was your in Turkey now.
10 days out of 14 on the menu for starters was yogurt soup I went to a few restaurants and asked about it they said they had never heard of it, it also says the hotel aqua has its own private beach and still you have to pay to sunbath on it.
I would never stay at the hotel aqua again I will be going back to icmeler again because I have been 7 times but I will be going back to a 3 star propety as I got more enjoyment out of a lower rating thank you for reading this.

| said: We booked this hotel on the basis that it was 5 star. In reality it did not rate 1 star. The staff were unfriendly and unhelpful, and there were no English speaking staff available after 6.00 PM.
The room was dirty and uncomfortable. The food was a disgrace, and the so-called a la cart restaurant was little better food wise, than a transport cafe. The Thomas Cook rep. was of little use, and she freely admitted that she had never eaten there.
The hotel had a guest comments book which was full of derogatory comments regarding all aspects of the hotel, particularly the very unfriendly staff. I pointed this out to the rep. but she did not want to know.
We paid a 5 star price but got a 0 star service and a 1 star hotel. We were glad when the time came to leave. Do not book this hotel as it is a complete rip off, and you will not enjoy your holiday.

| said: We stayed here from 20th May to 3rd June, and had a lot of problems. First we had booked a disabled room and had an email to confirm this from the hotel. We arrived at 6 am Sat 21st and first appearence was great - nice reception, but when we were shown to our room we found we were overlooking the dustbins, not a pleasant sight, took us all day to get moved, by this time my wife was in tears.
We moved to a suite but still not a disabled room, tried several times to talk to reception and My Travel rep, but they did not or would not understand English. Margo, my wife, could not get into the bath, I managed to get her in once but it took me 30 minutes to get her out. From then on it was strip washes for her. We went down to breakfast but could only get an omlette, also at dinner the food was geared to continental people, there were many British people satying there and all were complaing about the food. One thing most of us did not know about was the al ar carte restaurant, if you stay here book it every night, it has to be booked the day before and it is good, we found out about it the last few days, but there were many people we met when they were leaving who had no idea it was there, they do not advertise it at all. We met the rep who was on the coach when we arrived and told her about it all, she got an English rep to contact us and we filled in a complaint form, but this was on the day we were leaving so did not help with the room problems. So if you are disabled, like your English Breakfast and like to eat decent food, do not go to this hotel, also the old problem of beds by the pool, they were out there at 6 am putting their towel and books on the beds then going out and not returning until about 3 pm, so could not get a bed by the pool any day. Needless to say we will not e returning to this hotel 5* it is not.

| said: The hotel was beautiful and immaculately clean an asset to the owners. The grounds are beautiful they have a resident photographer who will take professional photos in the grounds at a reasonable price. You only pay for the ones you want to buy.
The a la carte restaurant is lovely especially if you fancy getting dressed up it is like eating in a 5 star restaurant. The other restaurant is good food is nice and quite a good choice of menu.
Hotel staff were friendly and helpful
Entertainment is more catered for older people than young couples and families. However the hotel is right in the resort centre so you don’t have to venture far to find alternatives.
Be aware that the hotel does have its own beach however, you do have to pay if you want a mattress for the sunbed it is approximately £1.75 per day for each bed. Next to the pool there is no charge but you will have to get up early to get a sunbed.
We have stayed in Icmeler 10 times and love the resort it is great for couples and families this is certainly the best hotel I have stayed in and would certainly return. You could not wish for a better location.

| said: We have just returned from 4 nights at the Aqua Hotel, and can recommend it. It can't be beat for location -
central as can be but quiet, and right on the beach, but with a beautiful garden separating the hotel and the beach. The hotel is spotlessly clean in the public areas as well as the rooms and the airconditioning in the rooms is self-controlled (not always the case in Turkey).
The pool is big and, again, perfectly clean (and quiet. No animation team. This suited us perfectly, but some people may be looking for it. If so, the Aqua is not for you). There was the usual and very annoying problem of getting a sunbed by the pool, but this is mainly caused by people who are afraid that they won't get a sunbed putting their towels down at 7:00 a.m. and then going back to bed/to eat breakfast or whatever
and not coming back for hours.
The staff were very helpful with any problem that came up (a leaky airconditioning unit and non-functioning min-bar were repaired within an hour of reporting). As a result of the airconditioner leaking, the carpet was wet and the next day started to emit strong mildew smells and even though the hotel was full, both of our rooms were changed to keep us next door to our children.
The food was fine, very plentiful and varied..every night that we were there there were totally different salads and main courses, and there are "theme nights"
where the food that evening is based on a certain countries cuisine. The only minus is that the airconditioning in the main dining room cannot cope if it is really hot (and it was), making dinner a bit uncomfortable. Our tip is to go down to dinner early and get one of the tables outside in the open air and lovely sea breeze.
If you would like a very nice and elegant dinner, there is a separate "a la carte" restaurant in the hotel, at no extra charge. You only need to reserve a place by 5:00 p.m the day before. The room is beautiful (and the airconditioning is fine as it is smaller)and the food is very good. It makes for a nice change, however, the meal takes quite a bit of time, with the various courses, so it would be a good idea to not have plans set at a certain time for afterwards so you don't feel rushed. Very enjoyable indeed.
We would most certainly stay at the Aqua Hotel again.
