The hotel was lovely, rooms very clean with iron , ironing board and hairdryer, they were cleaned everyday.
The foodcourt was good although was mostly the same every day.
Transportation right outside your door at anytime took you straight to the parks,
Staff at hotel were fantastic, so polite and helpful and the whole hotel and surrounds were kept to very high standards of cleanliness,
Also 2 lifeguards at the pool everyday from early morning till late at night,
Would definately go back again tomorrow

| said: Just returned from 2 fab weeks in Disney movies resort.
Stayed in Herbie block ,rooms themed, clean, comfortable with the added bonus of an iron and board plus a hairdryer cleaned daily to a high standard plenty of towels which you can take to the pool and get replaced by asking housekeeping.
The maids even arranged our daughters cuddly toys on the bed in a cute way which was a nice touch.
Food plenty of variety in the food court a little repetitive but nicely presented. Location, movies is the last hotel in the All Star resort but wasn’t too bad (we did a non driving option this time).
There were plenty of buses going individually to all the parks/water parks as well as downtown Disney they tended to get busy in the evening as well as in the morning for the parks early opening time. Hotel staffs were very pleasant and friendly. There wasn’t a lot in the way of entertainment just a few side stalls hair braiding, caricature that sort of thing but you can use the pool 'til midnight.
We only had one complaint about Disney we joked they were called the Stepford wives, as we were a non driving option they didn’t want to tell you about public transport they all say the same when you ask them how to get to Universal, Seaworld etc they say you have to use one of our taxi's which they say is
$60 each way which isn’t true. We found out there is a lynx bus,all you need to do is get the Disney bus to magic kingdom then hop on a monorail, get off at the second stop which is the ticket and transportation centre around the corner is the bus stop get on bus 50 that says downtown Orlando its $1 each bit cheaper than $60 if you want to go to Universal/Seaworld. You have to change but the driver will inform you and tell you where to get off. This may sound a performance but honestly it was no bother we went everywhere.
If you have a five day flexi-ticket you can also get a free bus to Busch gardens which is fab but you need to book the bus 24hrs in advance it goes from Sea world at 9 & 9.15 but leaves Busch gardens 5pm sharp.
We would visit this hotel again maybe in a few years with grandkids as ours this time was maybe on the border of being to old 11 & 13 but they still loved it think maybe we would try a universal hotel or just any hotel like we did in 2003 .Hope my comments help any one who is a Disney first timer or if you are considering Disney anyway.
Have a great holiday.

Disney buses were excellent - brought us right to park entrance in 10 minutes or so, rarely waited more than a few minutes for one.
Pool good, open 8 to 12 midnight with lifeguards.
Food court ok - didn't use it much, not cheap and crowded at breakfast time. Refillable mugs - amazing value at about 12 dollars. Endless coffee, tea, hot chocolate, fizzy drinks during the entire stay.
Rooms great, grand normal hotel size, bathroom great - shower truly wonderful! Safe, hairdryer, ice bucket for ice machine just outside, TV, phone, comfy, air conditioned. Love Bug was 5 minutes walk to bus, reception, food court and pool.
Lovely hotel - fantastic value for the price to stay on Disney property with the Early Admission, late opening perks also. Perfect for families with children.

| said: We stay at the all stars hotels every year since 2001! We find them very clean and the staff are very helpful and friendly! We recently visited Disneyland paris for my daughters 8th birthday(December 2005) and if anyone has any complaints about this hotel I suggest they spend a few nights in Paris and they'll soon find out what great value for money the allstar resorts are!
The pool are great, we often come back from the parks around 6 and spend the evening by the pool, it's a great way to relax after a long day in tha parks! We found the free bus service to be very handy, it's much easier than driving yourself!
The food in the resort is more expensive than outside but wherever you go that's always the case, compared to Paris where you have to pay £10 for a hot dog and fries it's not that bad, although it's not the healthiest food, you are on holiday after all!
The kids love going to Disneyworld and I can't see us going anywhere else, we've already booked for September 2006, although my sister and her fiance are coming with us so we'll be staying in a villa this time, but we've still goy our 14 day ultimate pass and next year we'll be back at the allstars!!

| said: The room we were assigned was in the Dalmation block very close to the duck pool which was a great location, close enough to the food courts etc but far enough away to not have people past the door all day and night.
The room was small but we weren't there much so ok, the cleanliness could do with some work, I frequently found hairs in the sink and we also found someone's toy soldier under the bed! I also had a nightdress went missing, I assume it went with the sheets to be cleaned (it was white) but after reporting it three times I was finally given a form to fill in and over two weeks later I have heard nothing.
The location is fine, the buses could be a pain as you never know if you've just missed one and you can wait for 20 mins for a bus then a wheelchair turns up last min and they are put on with family and you are then told the bus is full. (I have no problem with disabled people but I do believe that everyone should be treated the same)
The staff did depend on who you got, there did seem to be alot of training going on, the concerege desk was always very busy, frequently with only one or two staff on, food court staff were frendly but also very busy, the food was very unhealthy and over priced, my biggest regret is not getting a car so we could go out easier to eat.
The entertainment is basically the pool's they are very good and just what you need at the end of the day.
I will say I wouldn't avoid using this hotel again but as my daughter is 10 we would probably stay somewhere a bit more upmarket or off site altogether another time.
Overall you do get what you pay for and it is a reasonable hotel for the money.

| said: This was the third time I’ve used this hotel and will not be using it again.
When I first went there no faults at all, but this time found that staff were not so very helpful. We had two adjoining rooms and in the one room the shower gel dispenser did not work, we told the maid three days running but no joy and told front desk still nothing done about it. Told to ring housekeeping which we did but to no avail.
We also had problems in the food hall, kids eat free but only if you have fixed menu, on the breakfast the Americans asked for no biscuit so was substituted for sausage or bacon, when we asked they said no and got quite stroppy about it. On the second day we asked for supervisor and were told could not find him, on the third day finally got to see him and he was quite helpful and told staff to give us what we wanted, but come next day and every day after same problem.
Work was being done on one of the blocks but not too much noise.
I did find one cockroach on the shower curtain one morning and flushed down the plughole, but talking to other Brits it was suggested that’s where they were coming from, so the rest of our stay made sure plughole was closed.
We also saw two rather large RATS my daughter saw one and I saw the other right by the food hall in broad daylight, and round the back of hotel by the car parks we saw a armadillo a number of times we thought was rather cute.
The location is good especially if you are a non driver.
Entertainment is non existence all they have is a small arcade room and a large screen in reception showing cartoons.

We stayed in all star movies for 3 weeks the room was
small but we only showered and slept there so it did'nt bother us too much.
The only complaint I had about our room was, it rained nearly every day and it would of been nice to be able to hang our wet clothes outside but there was nowhere to do this.
Our room was at the back of the dalmation block it was very close to the resturaurant, pool, play area, reception, buses and the bar but we had no noise of people walking by(we thought it was the perfect location).
We didnt eat at the restaraunt often as it was the same menu,a bit expensive and the food was basic.we got more than our money's worth buying the refil cups!!! the pool was fantastic,it was clean the lifegaurds were great and
the photographes of the kids in the pool with mickey mouse in the background ......pricless.
The staff were very helpful but dont ask them how to get out of disneyland they will only recommend a taxi which will cost you about $80 to get to International Drive and back...you can get a bus.

Location is good to access Disney, however, not so good to do anything else, which is why we split our holiday and moved to I Drive week two.
Worst thing about the hotel was the food at the food court which was expensive and unhealthy !!
Room was not a bad size though, shuttle bus stops at other value resorts first and is busy when it gets to the movies.

| said: Quite disappointed really. The room was very small approx. 30 x 12 including the bathroom, no fridge or microwave.
The refillable mugs are a good idea if you're staying more than a few days otherwise at $11.99 (plus tax!) they work out expensive as they only hold 330ml when a 2L bottle of Coke etc. is under $1.
Bus journey to/from the parks was very hit and miss with a couple of suicidal drivers. Luckily for me I did not need my wheelchair during the stay as I saw a couple with one left at the bus stop as the driver wouldn't ask the non-disabled people to move out of the disabled seating on the bus for them.
The All Star resorts are over priced for what you get; renting a 3 or 4 bedroomed villa or a good hotel would be a cheaper and better option.

The food court gives a good variety and is cooked well, but over priced.
Hotel location is great.
Being there during Christmas was magical, the Christmas decorations are beautiful.
All the staff are friendly and will go out of their way to help.
The pools are both clean and heated.
The ice machines on each floor are very handy.
TIP: leave an envelope each day with tip for house keeper, with "house keeping" we did and each day the kids toys had been arranged in a different way with little notes! Great fun for the kids.
Leave your dirty towels on the bathroom floor to ensure they are replaced. The shower gel in the bathroom is lovely and free!!!

| said: Staying on-site at the disney all star resort was amazing. the staff were very friendly and helpful, the hotel was kept super clean and if you asked for something you got it straight away.
The refillable mugs are a great advantage, there is a great variaty of drinks to choose from. the food is not fantastic, but there are some lovely resteraunts at downtown disney. I highly recommend the house of blues.
If you do decide to eat out get there early as the ques can be hours long, the same applies to character dining.
The location of this hotel was excellent, staying on-site had the added advantage of the shuttle buses (there is a chain of bus stops outside of every hotel in disney world.
Each one dropping off at a different park. The buses keep coming until the que has gone, there is no cost to the buses and you can hop from one park to another by using them).
HOLIDAY TIPS;BUY UNLIMITED PARK HOPPER TICKETS FOR YOUR PARTY, THEY ALLOW YOU TO GO TO ANY DISNEY THEME PARK AS MANY TIMES AS YOU LIKE. MAKING YOU A GREAT SAVING. OURS COST US AROUND £200 FOR A FAMILY OF FOUR, WHEREAS IT CAN COST MORE THAN $100 DOLLARS TO GET INTO ONE PARK.
THE IDEAL AGE FOR A CHILD TO VISIT DISNEY (IN MY OPPINION) WOULD BE AROUND 7 YEARS OLD. ALTHOUGH IT IS MAGICAL FOR EVERYONE. SMALLER CHILDREN MIGHT NOT BE TALL ENOUGH TO GET ON SOME OF THE RIDES,(OUR CHILDREN WERE 11 AND 9).
We visited disney around halloween and went to mickeys not so scarey halloween party at the magical kingdom, although this cost extra (about £80 for a family of four) it was well worth the cost. Everyone dressed up and went trick or treating.
All of the characters were out and the parade and fireworks were the best we saw. We had our photo taken courtesy of disney, which they sent directly to our home address and we recieved about a week later.
There is something for everyone at disney world. The animal kingdom is famtastic, with its safari, beautiful animals and shows. The magic kingdom, with cinderella's castle and spectacular fireworks is amazing.
The waterparks are great fun, blizzard beach is the best for rides but swimming with the sharks is a must at typhoon lagoon (its not as scarey as it sounds). MGM studios is great fun for rides with tower of terror and aerosmiths rock and rollercoaster.
The Epcot centre is very good if you like science and they have different bands performing every night. Downtown disney has loads of shops bars and resteraunts which are all family friendly.
This is the ideal time for a brit to visit disney. Its a must do holiday and since the pound is so strong at the moment its affordable.
WE CAN'T WAIT TO GO BACK!!!

| said: We've stayed in All Star Sports, 2 years running. This hotel was very basic, but all we wanted it for really was to sleep.
The free Disney shuttle bus was excellent (although took a while to get collected from Epcot to come back to the hotel on one occasion after the fire works) and the food was nice. If you don't like the look of the menu, there is a McDonalds a short distance away.
We were there during the Hurricane and it was reassuring to see other people being transferred into this hotel. It caused a few of the trees to come down, but there was no structural damage that we witnessed. We were continuously updated via telephone messages re the curfews.
The best pool in this hotel is tucked up by the large Coke Cup.... It is deserted in an afternoon.
We did take a look at the some of the other hotels out there at Disney:
Disney Animal Kingdom Lodge entrance hall/lounge area was absolutely amazing, but when we went for a nose about there were no animals to be seen.
The Grand Floridian was beautiful, there was a wedding happening when were there, and it looked extremely well organised. A beautiful place just across the lake from Magic Kingdom.

The location wasnt the best, A little far out of everything, But you had the Disney transportation for that. But taxi cabs cost a bit to take out of disney.Unless you hire a car.
The food was ok, Like American foods are, Burgers n chips, pizzas all that stuff.
But you can walk to the other two theme hotels the Sports and music.

| said:We have just come back from All Star Movies, and wouldn`t hesitate in going back.
Stopping in resort meant you could get early entrance into a particular park on a particular day. This sounds great, but everybody else seems to have the same idea, and they can get busy.
You can register your credit card details when you check in and don`t have to worry about carrying cash around with you.
The rooms were quite spacious with 2 double beds a tv, with disney channels and an open wardrobe and about 6 drawers. They brought us extra hangers within 10 minutes of asking. There was an ironing board and iron.
The bath was not very deep and the shower was very high up and not much use. Shower gel and shampoo was provided in a dispenser, but did not use it as took our own. Mickey Mouse soap also provide and loads of clean towels and flannels.
We asked for a quiet room, and that`s what we got, Toy Story 9, right on the edge of the complex. We had nothing opposite the room, just a few shrubs and trees and a family of rabbits who visited us most nights.
The Fantasia Pool was fantastic to see and was very popular even on a cool evening(10 o`clock), so it must have been warm.
The refillable mugs were great and if you booked with Virgin, you got 2 per room free. They were $11.99+tax to buy. This meant you could fill with any soda, tea, coffee and hot chocolate totally free for the duration of your stay.
The food courts were resonably priced and served mainly fast food, but you could get pasta and roasts. There was a good selection, and as we were too tired to go out after a long day ate in quite regularly. The taco salad with a huge taco shell filled with lettuce, spicy chicken/beef, cheese, tomatoes, olives and chilli, pot of sour cream and salsa was less than $7 . A cheese-burger with fries was less than $6. With the re-fillable cups this provided a reasonable and tasty option to going out.
There was a Disney shop next to the food-court which sold loads. Also if you bought anythig in the parks, you could get it delivered to your hotel free of charge.
The cleaning staff were excellent and it was good fun to see where your cuddly toys were placed when you get home in the evenings(usually in the window). On one occasion we were confronted with a naughty cuddly Pluto who had shredded a piece of loo roll and wrapped it round itself.
We would definitely go back, but would like to be around the same area as it`s quiet and nicely away from the busier areas. It really captures that Disney Magic being on site.
Any questions, please ask in the America forum located here

We stayed for Christmas and New Year. The themes around about for Christmas were brilliant. I would recommend attending the Very Merry Christmas Parade at night time. It is a bit extra, but well worth it. The parade is the same as the one during the day, but it is great at night when they have fake snow! New Years Eve in the Magic Kingdom is truely magical - Tinkerbell flying over the Castle at midnight is great.
The hotel was brilliant. We stayed in the Fantasia block, which you had to walk through Mickey's Hat to enter the block. The rooms were spotless, housekeeping came everyday, and always had my daughter's cuddleys in a different position everyday. There was an answering machine in the room, so family were able to connact us! There are washing machines and tumble dryers, so we had clean clothes coming home!
As I dont drive, having the buses outside the front door of the hotel was fantastic. The only thing was trying to get home from Epcot, as the one bus went to all three All Stars Hotels, it was a long queue to get home! On our 'off' days, the pool is great and a few times we went back to the parks in the evenings, just for the nights parades. Downtown Disney is great, epecially the Sunday Bruch in House of Blues.
We are hoping to return in a few years, and would have no hesitation going back to All Stars, but might try the Pop Century next time.
The food in the food court was just alright - lots of fast food that wasnt very healthy.

We were in the Toy Story block and the children loved it.
Enormous figures of Buzz and Woody and a massive bedroom door to walk through, with a sign saying 'Andy's Room'. Room was reasonably sized, we had interconnecting rooms with my in laws, 2 double beds per room. Air conditioned to your own liking.
Food courts were 2 minutes away. Quite a choice of foods, my children especially liked the breakfasts and regularly toasted their own bread and bagels. Tip, buy the refillable mug, about $12. It can be filled endlessly during your stay with hot and cold drinks. You would see everyone in the mornings, carrying 3/4 cups, off the fill them up, brilliant idea.
The pool was well manned by lifeguards and was never overcrowded.
The staff on reception were brilliant, with advice and chat. They booked a birthday character meal for us, advising us on the best park and time for our requirements. There is also a gift shop next to the reception area.
During our time their all the christmas decorations went up, they were amazing.

| said: This is THE holiday to go on! We went with Virgin excellent flight service and price. We also booked for the Hertz travel tickets. These are in a booklet of 10 and give you a return journey to outside theme parks and other events well worth it, rather than the hassle of driving and getting lost!
The hotel was very well kept, we didn't see one piece of litter our whole trip. The staff are friendly.
The rooms are basic but comfortable, and you will only really use it as a base and somewhere to sleep so it doesn't have to be a palace. We didn't hear or see anyone on our landing the whole time we were there! Bliss!
The cups are a good buy for soft drinks, saved us around $40 each over the 2 weeks. Get up early for breakfast in the food court so you can get the first bus to your theme park. Go straight to the main rides as you can go on a couple of times without really queuing!
Items bought at downtown Disney get delivered to your hotel and onto your room so you don't have to carry them around all day.
Can recommend the meal deal in the food court and the pizza's. Danish and juice for breakfast every morning apart from a character breakfast at Animal Kingdom.
Crystal Palace at MK for character lunch is a must.
Visit so July 4th is in your visit and go the MK for the fireworks get above the entrance 3-4 HOURS minimum before the show, believe me it gets busy!!!
This is the best place to stay for a budget hotel to Disney whilst staying in Disney.
We will return when our little girl will appreciate the rides as much as her dad!
